I daily my car ~70 miles per day in a mix of highway and street. It does accelerate much faster but the main thing it helped, and is what I was looking for, was 3rd and 4th gear.
Before 3 would be able to hit ~115 mph and 4th was far above that. Now 3rd tops out around 90 and 4th ~130 so it has...
Texas Drivetrain Performance. They are in the Dallas area. Went with Yukon gears as they recommended them over the Richmond gears.
There is a little whine but I only hear it if the exhaust is in quite mode.
The rear diff temp does get up to temp much faster compared to OEM. Temps are always...
I went with 4.56 gears and got the tune from Wengerd Performance. His response time was amazing. Contacted him on a Friday night and by Sunday morning had my final tune and everything as been running great for the past 5 months.
So I have done the Steeda clutch spring, Boomba 60D trans mount and I have the MGW Xspec shifter.
It is a major improvement but I wish I had gone with the 70D trans mount as it did help some of the slop and I honestly can't tell if it added an NVH at all.
I did come from a WRX which NVH is...
You may want to look into getting gears if not wanting to jump into any FI.
I have 4.56 gears and it has really woken the car up specially in 3rd and 4th gear.
You will need a tune for all of the fault codes that come up. I went with Wengerd Performance and could not be happier with how the car...
MGW and don't look back. Build quality is amazing and I believe they have 4 options on how short of a throw you can get.
Install is a bit of a PIA but I did it with jack and jackstands and they have a very good install video.
Hear good things about Barton as well.
I highly recommend Wengerd Performance. I initially went with one of the big 2 and apart from the initial tune I never received any revisions and have still never heard back.
I needed a tune since I had gotten 4.56 gears and the initial tune was pretty bad. A hour of driving and it threw a...
Hey I recently upgraded to 4.56 gears and I love them. Definitely makes the pulls in 3rd and 4th more enjoyable. I also DD my car ~65 miles per day in a mix of highway and street and haven't had any issues but you will have to get a tune done to clear up all the faults that come up.
MPG hasn't...
Yea I asked and my shop said no need for it. I did notice that the diff gets up to temp much quicker.
Before with the stock 3.73 it would be about 40 minutes of highway driving before it got to 100° now in 20 minutes it is around 140°.
Hey guys thought I'd update you.
I ended up contacting with Wengerd Tuning Friday night and he responded right away.
Saturday morning I sent him over all the info and received a tune by 10am.
Car felt better immediately. Did the logs he requested and this morning he got back to me saying no...
Man sorry to hear that. Hoping everything works out but definitely contact PBD. Keep us posted though.
I am not as modified as you so I am running the stock tune right now and am living with the issues I have until I hear back from PBD.
Well i might have to do that. I just did the idle, rev, and drive logs. Tuner is PBDand I'll send those logs shortly and see what he says.
I just had the gears changed to 4.56 other than that it is a stock Bullitt.
I get all kinds of codes but nothing to bad. No hill assist, backup camera...
Looking to get 4.56 gears on 19 Bullitt and was wondering if I could make the changes with just the SCT tuner but not a custom tune?
I see that SCTs website states I can change Axle Ratio but do I need a custom tune for that?
Thanks.
