Hello Guys, I own a mustang 2020 automatic. I am 5.45" and fairly comfortable to drive it. But my wife is 5 feet and she have trouble with reaching accelerator and break. What are my options to move those closer? I looked into multiple options like GarageLine option for acceleration pedal or using spacers. It's just hard to find those products in Australia. Looking for different ideas which people have tried.

Changing or modifying the brake/accelerator pedal in any way always scares me. I know some are made for a clutch pedal, but ugh.

Since you’re both short, my first suggestion would be to investigate a seat bracket mod that would bring it ahead a couple inches.

Another option would be to have a professional automotive upholsterer thicken/thin out the foam drivers seat pan and back. You’d also have to get a new cover made.

Good luck.

The F150 has so many options, some of which I'm sure I've never heard of. My neighbor recently purchased a 2012 truck. It has power-adjusted pedals that move back-and-forth (though I don't think up or down).

If Ford was doing that in 2012, it's a shame they couldn't have continued to advance it in other ways, and fit it to other models. Money I know. But how many units of that option would they sell, given the chance  ?

If possible, check out an accessibility shop, one that retrofits wheel chair ramps and lifts, steering and pedal accessories to vehicles; they might have something or some things that work well.

Have you considered contacting any of your local handicapped or mobility organizations? In the States, there are numerous companies that modify vehicles so people with disabilities can drive.
Not saying that you are handicapped, just that those organizations may be able to point you towards solutions that already exist.

I would. I'm 6' but my wife is a foot shorter, She can drive the car, but it's not a cool experience for her. It's a shame. She loves cars and totally gets why the Mustang is fun.

Thank you for your reply. These looks a bit weird but I am thinking about adding spacers on gas pedal of 1 inch which should be more than enough. There is gas pedal for Wrangler, I was hoping if there was something like that in the market for mustang as well.

Something that might compliment anything you do: grip tape on top of the pedal surfaces.
