It seemed to be a hot topic on YouTube after the 2018s came out, and I still see things on the Facebook groups.
Sure, you'll see some issues pop up on there a few times...but it seems you took what is a very minor set of issues and multiplied it 1000 fold to get to the point of being scared to drive the car because of imminent failure.

I bought my 2018 GT (built 03/18) brand new off the lot in August of 2018 with 3 miles on it. I bought it for it to be a nice weather toy since our winters are brutal on vehicles. It has all of 7,978 miles on it because I'm afraid to drive it after all of the things that I've read regarding issues like cylinder scoring and roller follower failure.

I change the oil and filter every spring, and I've been running Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30 with a Motorcraft filter ever since Ford changed to 5W-30 during the 2021 model year. I've never driven it hard.

Prior to the 5.0, I had a 2007 GT along with a 2010 GT. I never worried about the 4.6, but the third gen 5.0 has me on edge.

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has actually put miles on a 2018-2023 GT.
Bro drive it. Fear mongering is a side effect of the Internet. Not your coyote 👍 It's a damn reliable car. Nothing mechanical is flawless or forever.

for all the bad stories you see, don't forget how many other people are beating the snot out of these cars with out so much as a mouse fart of problems (not includeing their self creat problems)

Lastly lots of people turn to forums for the first time when something goes wrong with their car. As a result forums can make any car seem like a ticking time bomb.🤣

Corrected.
I'd be more pedantic and correct it to Internet forums.

And before that it was your uncle who knew a guy who also knew a guy who said Ford sold them with the tick so we'd have to buy more in the future because anything that ticks is a bomb.

Fixed it for you, if you read what some of the regulars around here write in their posts you'd think the Mustang was the shittiest car ever built.

Elon made sure nobody thinks that anymore when he designed the cybertruck.

I don't know the first thing about that truck besides how it looks. Is it bad?

It's certainly bold. But it 100% looks like it belongs in my kitchen not in my garage.

They have recalled all of them because certain panels were glued on (yes, you read that right) and they’re falling off, some incidents have occurred on the road in traffic. It’s a computer/microwave on wheels. My neighbor has one and geeks out over how much tech is in the car. Who gives a shit how much tech is in it, it’s a frickin car. Oh yeah, and those tires that come on it are shit, he got stuck in his driveway in a couple inches of snow this past winter LOL

You think it could be said that the GTD is the shittiest car ever built??

Cybertruck for sure is a shitty truck and I'm of the opinion that it's definitely in the list of shittiest vehicles. What does it do well? Genuinely asking here.

GTD though? It's the fastest Mustang so there's at least one area where it stands out

Yeah and you could say the same about the Tesla Roadster too. What a waste of money that car was.

But go ahead and think the cybertruck is anything other than shit when it didnt live up to the range promised, the price promised, the capability promised, and the value promised. And it's got glued on panels. And the new cheaper version doesn't even come with power ports in the bed, like every other truck in the price range. It's a piece of shit vehicle and a absolute joke of a "truck". My brother just picked up a 2025 Powerboost Lariat and it blows the cybertruck away in every aspect for the same price as the low end cybertruck.

Meanwhile the GTD has done what it was promised to do, and Ford was up front about the price all along being 300k+.
