  1. 10-12k Over Oil Change, am I screwed?

Still trying to figure out why the OP's oil change light never came on, did he ignore it, or reset it? It's not. It's a 2019, maintenance light should have come on. I just checked the Ford Pass app. My oil life is at 39%, I had my oil changed in July 2023 at 13,224 miles. As of today I...
  2. Recall 23V727 (Brake System Warning)

Mine just came today, now I have two (lock switch) outstanding. Iā€™ll keep collecting them until springtimešŸ˜
  3. Fuel Question

Reading is important, try it. You seem to struggle with reading comprehension with "designed to" regular versus premium being "recommended" that you did not bother to read the first four words written. Read the words in the first sentence written by Ford Motor Company: "Your vehicle is...
  4. Fuel Question

Ford Motor company designed it for 87, per their owner's manual. As it says, in the summer you will get a bit better performance moving up in octane to 91 or higher. If your car is a daily driver, 87 is fine. The level of detergent is no more between premium and regular. For example, Exxon...
  5. Love the Drive installed today.

My biggest issue with this product is that it develop rattles on while up on the vertical pieces where they meet the tubes. I used a glue gun to keep them in place.
  6. Has anyone gotten this wind deflector?

My ā€œlove the driveā€ has rattles coming from the two posts on the screen. Not happy with that.
  7. Mustang Dark Horse "market adjustments"

Yes, you can get GAP insurance if you pay dealership markup or "market adjustment" on a new car. GAP insurance covers the difference between the actual cash value of your vehicle and the amount you still owe on your car loan in the event that your car is stolen or totaled. It's just more...
  8. Kind of makes me rethink my use of FordPass

I may agree, doesn't mean another driver (my wife) did.
  9. Mustang Dark Horse "market adjustments"

Insurance companies don't pay out the ADM, remember that when you take it out. That's your loss to eat.
  10. Kind of makes me rethink my use of FordPass

I'm curious about getting information without a warrant. Fordpass is free and I tenuously can see how "they own" that data. Jeep on the other had charges for their app, If I pay Jeep for that service how is that different than my bank as far as a service provider? The government can't get...
  11. What do you do when people give you a thumbs up

I do a semi "Jeep wave" over the windshield to other Mustang convertible owners as long as they have the top down. It's a "convertible thing."
  12. Is MagneRide a must have?

Probably better to ask in the convertible forum as most replies here are from coupe owners. Convertibles have a completely different driving dynamic without a roof. I would consider the MR for a daily. Convertibles (standard GT suspension) shudder quite a bit over bumps and joints.
  13. Old guy Mustang questions.

Don't get hung up on not having the Co-Pilot 360. I have a '20 GT, when it was offered as an option. Premiums come with back up sensors and blind spot monitoring. The whole purpose of the touring is to be engaged with the car and the road. My other cars have the safety systems, and that's...
  14. Fabric Top Sun Protection?

Bead test the next day Bead test the next day. Funny thing is the only time the top gets wet is when I wash the car. Never drive it in the rain. šŸ˜€
  15. Fabric Top Sun Protection?

303 For me. Itā€™s all about prep work. Vacuum top. Clean top with 303 cleaner. Use a soft bristle brush. Wash the rest of car. Allow top to air dry. Vacuum top again. Prep car, cover windows and paint. Run a lint roller over top. Spray 303 fabric protection. Work in with a brush, and then...
  16. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Convertible top cleaning, a hand wash, prep work, and then applied fabric protection.
  17. Stupid question of the day: how to remove engine cover to check oil level

Yeah it's a PIA with the stick just under the brace, a knuckle scratcher location.
  18. šŸš” 2015 GT versus Arkansas State Police

Cool video. Telematics, like the Ford Pass app w/ Sync 3 or 4, show where the car is located. Newer cars are harder to steal because they have built in GPS tied into apps. Even if you don't have that feature, an air tag hidden is just as good. Thieves will have a harder time stealing newer cars.
