Even though they list the years through 2021 I doubt this will clear the current shark fin.

I ordered a 2021 Mach 1 premium, no NAV, and I’m anticipating a fin. I just wish it wasn’t there. I don’t satellite radio or even am/fm, I just steam from my phone. Idk, not a big deal, just doesn’t look as sleek.
I bet that once you see your M1 in the flesh for the 1st time you won’t even notice it. 👍😀

BEHOLD LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!

I know the sharkfin is in a bad light... however!

THIS abomination of an antenna and placement caught my eye on the 2019 F150
Yes... it is like a sharkfin, but I'd call it a damaged fin and yes... it is placed off center

So you see a beautiful woman on the beach. Tall, thin, athletic, great body, awesome hair, a ten out of ten. And you notice she has a bunion on her small toe. :cwl::like:

That does seem odd. Why would someone with the shark fin want another one on top of it. But that was a response to someone who has the puck

That must have been made by the same man who has designed the new Discovery. :cwl:

I was unfortunate enough to drive behind one of these the other day. My God, what a terrible experience! It was like seeing Angela Merkel naked. Once seen, I could not unsee it. :cwl:

OK Vlad, I have to ask. When did you see Ms. Merkel naked?

In this day and age, I don’t even know why vehicle manufactures even need to hard mount any such bubble or shark fin to the body for antenna signals.

In my 94 Cobra, I have had Sirius - and I never mounted the antenna outside on the trunk lid or roof as recommended. It’s on the rear deck, facing out the window and gets 100% perfect signal, without any interruption or interference. It’s been that way for a good 10+ years now...

In modern day cars, the same could be done; mount the antenna either in top of front dash or top of rear deck - stop mounting ugly ass bubbles or fins to the roofs....
On my 05 GT for Sirius I bought the Nisssan SIGMA [Sirius Inside Glass Mount Antenna] and stuck it right on the inside of the windshield at the pony with the receiver mounted on the overhead and wired in there, and down the pillar to an aftermarket radio with jacks on the back. Worked perfectly and looked like it belonged there. Even powered down automatically.

I'd rather compare it like if she had a big gooey blob om her forehead

One thing is that the design right there is fucked up... but the worst part in my opinion is that it cleared all the approvals and got to production?! What the hell man...
There wasn't a point where a grown up person came by and said... "Guys?... just.. don't"

This reminds me of one of Jeremy Clarkson's articles. Basically the same idea.

"To this day, I remain baffled by the Ford Scorpio because at some point someone must have walked into an important board meeting and said, “Well, everyone. This is what it’s going to look like.”

Why did no one present say, “Are you joking?” or, “Have you gone mad?” or, “Take some gardening leave, you imbecile”? They obviously just sat there thinking, “Yes, we have had cars in the past that were designed to look like sharks and cars that were designed to look like big cats. So why should we not now have a car that looks like a wide-mouthed frog?”

It’s strange. I know who designed almost every single car in recent times. I know who did the Lamborghini Countach, VW Golf and Volvo 850. I know several people who claim to have done the Aston Martin DB9. But nobody in all my years has ever put their hand up and said, 'Yes. It was me. I did the Scorpio.'"

As ugly as some people think the shark fin antenna is, it is still a whole lot better than the mast antenna they continue to use on the convertibles.

It is very good, I'll give you that.
But no matter how good it may be, it still looks on a Mustang like a crash helmet would on the Pope's head.
