Seat Question

I'm 5'9" 175 lbs., and never have been able to get comfortable in a Recaro with nonadjustable side bolsters because I have wide shoulders. You and I may be able to wear exactly the same size L or XL shirt, but we "wear" seats differently. That's why you really need to try 'em before you buy 'em.

Also, the Tech seats are pretty well-bolstered and have "suede" on the seating areas, and with a harness for the track you will not be moving around at all.

I'm not disagreeing with you. My brother who is only about 2 inches taller and has similar size and proportions as me didn't find them to be the most comfortable for him. All comes down to personal preference regardless of size. Sitting in them before hand is absolutely the best thing to do.

I'll also say the Tech pack seats do look like a great seat as well. Much better than what the gap was between the previous generation cars

Also found this from a post a few months back. Appears to be the base model seat the GT350 uses. The 350 probably has minor differences in bolstering for the car but its something to work with. Open in photobucket and hit the magnifying glass with the "+" in it get full size

Looks like the GT Recaros are about the same as the ones from the boss right? I liked those on a test drive I did a year ago. If the 350 seats were like that Id do the track pack. These seats don't look as forgiving on the sides and butt as far as bolstering goes. :-(

The current GT Recaros are very different than the Boss Recaros (or the GT500 Recaros for that matter). They are narrower and harder than the Boss Recaros. If you're a 15 year old kid that weighs 150 lbs they are great seats, otherwise they are simply too narrow. The Boss Recaros were wider, softer and far more comfortable.

From the pics I've seen, the GT350 Recaros look to be just as narrow as the current GT Recaros.

I wish at the price point for the GT350 and GT350R that Ford had spent a little extra money for adjustable side and cushion bolsters on the Recaros.

If you're a 15 year old kid that weighs 150 lbs they are great seats, otherwise they are simply too narrow. The Boss Recaros were wider, softer and far more comfortable.

From the pics I've seen, the GT350 Recaros look to be just as narrow as the current GT Recaros.

Yeah it's frustrating that Ford made the Mustang wider and at the same time made the seats narrower. I fit the seats in my 2011 really well, but my hips are on top of the bolsters in the 2015 and the center of my back rests on open air. It's ok, but the previous seat was much better for me. Still I understand I'm wider than most people and I see a lot of people post on here saying they like the 2015 seats.

I hear ya, but there's a major difference btw the 2011's and the 2015's... Europe. These new cars are not just intended for Texan-sized Americans but also slim-fit Europeaners. There has to be a more conformed universal seat to compete with the Euro performance rides f comparable value.

I don't think the GT350 is going to be sold in Europe.

That doesn't matter... We were talking about the narrower width of the 2015 seat vs the 2011.

Now that we have that cleared up.

The 2015 Recaro option is the same seat design as the Boss and previous Recaro options only with different covers. Ford did not narrow the seat to accommodate the European market.

That was jus additional info for others worrying about the Recaro's. I'd love to see the documentation that the Recaro's in the 2015 GT were narrowed to accommodate the European market but don't spend much time looking for it. ;)

So, where does that leave us now after the clarity?
