Ive been using the canned 93 octane sct tune. Doesnt seem too bad. Definitely didnt have the issues that you are experiencing. I'll probably get a lund tune after I either put on headers or decide to put a blower on.
Where are you getting 93 octane gas in the bay area?

I just mix it. I wait till i get around an 1/8 of a tank, and i put in 3 gallons of the 101 from the almaden 76 station and 11 gallons of 91. seems to work fine.

I'll be probably going e85. It's sold across the street from my work and there's a few stations throughout the bay.

I think thats what most people in CA will be doing... Even though it voids your warranty, but most of our warranties are long gone anyway. If my research is right, all you really need is 47lb injectors and the tune ya? Sounds like the stock pump is fine for naturally aspirated s550's...

Just a tune voids your warranty. They'd have an easier time tracking that than e85 caught in your tank/filter/lines somewhere. All you need is 47lb injectors and a tune. Stock pump is fine. Don't even need a bap. I'm wondering how high the 47's can go on e85.

Probably higher than you need if your going to stay naturally aspirated. I see the LU47's for like $240 no tax/free shipping on ebay.

Exactly my plan. And a boss manifold if anyone figures an easy way to do it. Without a hood or motor mounts.

That sucks nothing worse then getting your hopes up and then this....

I am running the VMP 91 tune and it is a night and day difference. I tried their e85 tune but that one ran too rough for me with stock fuel system. I tried the 93 but I ran into after running the car hard when I came to my first stop it would stall out. I had to return car to stock for several tanks of gas. Been running 91 tune for the last 8 fill ups but I guess today is my first time really putting her thru the paces and at the end of my drive she stalled at a light... Justin with VMP has been very, very responsive to any of my emails so I have no worries that this will be taken care of promptly.

Good luck,
Danny

Who did you order the package from? If ordering direct from JLT they have a package that includes a DTP Brent Hughes tune, which is a quality tune. They send you the parts and you read your strategy and ecu info, send them an email and they send you back the tune.
I ordered it from CJPONYPARTS.COM. The JLT intake SCT X4 tuner combo Deal. I'm gonna look at calling Lund tomorrow and getting a different tune. I'll probably call SCT tomorrow before I do to see where I'll get with them first.

You didnt change your tire size at all in the sct tune did you? When I tried to change my wheel size with the canned sct tune, it completely screwed the whole tune up some how. When i changed it back to stock wheel size (even though they arent) it seemed to work fine.

Stock fuel system meaning injectors as well?

Yes. Just flashed ECU with about 10 miles to empty I filled it with e85. On cold start it jumped to 2000 rpm. Idled high like that or 15 to 1800 until completely warm. Then it kinda would flutter between 650 and 750 rpm at idle. it ran I just did not think it was a noticeable power gain to put the car thru that everyday.

You really need 47lb injectors for the e85 switch to be done right. And probably run a tank completely and fill up fresh. You should also be testing your e85 to see its ethanol content.

Yeah I know. E85 really is not my goal at the moment so I would rather put the 200 or 300 bucks towards planting the power I have now or the cat delete from MAK... I am very happy with the performance of my current bolt ons and VMP Tune. The cat delete would complement that nicely I think.
