JLT intake and SCTX4 tuner issue

Hey guys i just picked up my JLT intake and SCTX4 tuner yesterday updated the tuner via wifi all was good no updates required, instal JLT take to car try to upload tune...... it tells me i need a new update come to update it via wifi again it now says update error ??? any one else experienced this I'm kinda pissed off because i had to reinstall the stock air box before i can get this sorted I'm in Orlando,FL on vacation if any one can help that would be great thanks.

P.S i updated via wifi because i have a MAC not a Pc another annoying part of this i cannot download the updater software

If the issue turns out to be updater software. Try this... Download a free version of virtual box to create a VM on you Mac. Once you create a virtual image, you can download a trial version of windows, then install your sct updater software.

This is what I was planning to do if I had purchased the sct.

the SCT X4 won't upload to the car, I've been told not to even start the car with the JLT on the car due to the intake size because the air sensor can't read all the extra air and then you get all sorts of idling issues and fault codes

Just ran into this issue with my brothers x4 . Purchased a used X4 updated via WiFi, Plugged into the car and it gave an error and said to update. Plugged Tue X4 into my PC and ran the SCT update utility, Files where downloaded but the SCT update utility said the X4 was up to date. Plugged the X4 into The car and same error and asking to update tuner. What finally worked was running the SCT update utility on the PC a few times. Then it was able to tune.

I've read about this issue on an f150 forum and they say to fun the update a few times but if that doesn't work u need their call SCT and provide them with your strategy so that they can send you a tune.
