Anyone have experience with this? It looks like the latest-gen SCT programmer. I want a Lund tune but the nGauge looks like a piece of crap.

It has wifi and some other nice features. Honestly it's hard to determine what the difference is between this and the X4...

Get the X4. I have heard complaints that the new BDX does not have crank relearn feature.

Can anyone confirm this? Seems weird, should be the same software.

Also, does anybody know what the selection of tunes looks like from SCT? I'm used to flashing EFI bikes for intakes and pipes and stuff, but Dynojet makes all their vetted tunes readily available; I can't find anything from SCT.

Ngauge is glitchy. Mine is at least. Sometimes if I touch the chrome edge while plugging it in it will lock up. I’ve seen the screen also go fuzzy for no reason. It always comes back after unplugging and plugging back in at least. It does datalog nicely though, although it limits the amount of PIDs it can log, I don’t theink the X4 does that. Installing tunes is probably 3 times faster on the Ngauge though, so it does do some stuff better, just not made very well in my opinion, since it is so sensitive to being touched wrong and any amount of static even if you don’t see a spark.

What issues? I just got mine today and had no problem with my tune from Steeda... It updated twice and then has been solid for a few hours of driving since.

Did you update it before install? They may have fixed it.

Yep, two updates on the BDX and then no issues flashing. My Golf R before this took 20mins to flash. The GT took 3, maybe 5?

Okay so I asked SCT and they didn’t really answer my question. They claim certain gains and even show a dyno graph, but I have no idea if that’s supposed to be for a bone stock car or with some supporting mods. And what if you have an intake/exhaust, do they have tunes for that already?
