The overall diameter of the 18 vs. 19 vs 20 with tire is pretty much the same. Not sure if the small diameter differences would affect diff or not.

No spare on PP because the 18" spare will not clear the PP front brembos. At least that is part to the reason for the GT PP. I think the other issue is the PP (both eb and gt) come with summer only tires and mixing summer tread with non-summer tread is a liability - or at least so it has been mentioned here.
I think the spare is basically the same diameter as all the wheels on the Mustangs - around 27 inches I believe.

Yep ... but the spare could probably be used on a PP car if a good rear tire was put on the front, then the spare was put on the rear. A PITA but it would work.

sure does come with a pump
I have the spare, but I wish I had an onboard pump for filling up the tires. I had one with a slow leak and the gas stations in this state charge $1 to use the air pump!

On the cars with the spare, attached to the aft wall of the tire well I think where the others get the pump, we have a portable funnel. Useless!

All mustangs have that funnel in the spare tire well. You would need that funnel if you had to add gas from a gas can on the side of the road.

Or any fuel additives. I found out the hard way on my last car with the capless gas tank when I tried to pour a fuel system cleaner in it.

My wife's edge needs the special funnel.

I don't think we do, as I can use my finger to push the 'stops' down.

Nope. You do too. It's in the trunk in the spare tire well. Also for adding gas from a can.

I know the funnel is there, but you do not need to use it.

Go out to your car and with your finger try push open the flaps that the gas pump/funnel goes into. I can open them no problem with my finger, as can I use any old funnel.

On my wife's edge it is a different story, you need to use the ford supplied funnel or else those flaps are not opening.

Hmmmm. They must have thought that running out of gas is enough of a problem to make it worth putting a funnel in there. Is that air pump available to purchase separately?

They probably figured running out of gas and not understanding why you can't get the funnel to your jerry can inserted was stressful enough, hence eliminating the need the special funnel. At least this is in my car, maybe it is defective. Nice that the funnel is still included though.

I'd get one of these if you are looking for a compressor. Works great.
