As I keep looking and looking and looking at these pictures, I know that there's one thing that I can tell.

Putting some sexy long tube headers is going to be a dream compared to the S197.

The worst part about installing longtubes in the S197 was the front subframe and motor mounts. Hard to tell how the S550 would be any different.

The front subframe looks wider and skinnier than the S197. The motor mounts still look like they probably need to com out though.

Pill, seeing as these chassis pictures we see from the ESB stunt were of the convertible, do you imagine we will see many differences in the coupe?

How about putting LT's in an SN95 with a 4v?
Sorry but I know almost nothing about any of those SN95's. Cool that you have a Mach though... what color is it?

Used to have a Mach, It was Torch Red. It lives on with me forever! I hope to find it again someday.

Convertible models traditionally have more platform support than a coupe. I don't think much will change... The star here is the Convertible, being more rigid with less metal...

The coupe will naturally out perform a vert all day long...

The rigidity increases are always so staggering it's astonishing. I got interested in the evolution of the stang from the fox platform onward and one of the things that leapt out at me was when going from the "fox" to the "fox-4" chassis of the Sn95 lateral rigidity was increased 150% in the vert!

I can't wait to see a refined s550 chassis w/cf bits, etc.

I am also wondering how a Mach/350 will compare to an M2 ..?

What's an M2?

The regular GT with track pack will be very close performance to the M3/M4. The GT350 will probably compete with the Corvette C7 or even close to that of the C7 Z06.
