Honestly…the way I see it is that I see what a lot of people who abuse (or show love) to their car on track are using and how long they have been using the part. Then the space they occupy in the track community. Cortex, SPL, MMR all get my vote there. Cortex makes parts for Ford Performance and they have great customer service. Just my thought process. I have J&M parts and they are great as well

I just went through something similar because I decided to upgrading all my bushings to bearings (front and rear).

In the end I went with the full package from AAD. I was very intrigued by their 'tab' adjustment system and the ability to change camber/toe in less than a minute with exact results each time. I aligned it for street, and then again for track. I keep the set of tabs I'm not using in the glovebox so they can be swapped in at any time. It takes more time to jack up the rear and remove the tire then it does to change the camber/toe tabs! I love that there are no compromises between street/track - just a few minutes and it is perfectly setup for either.

And I have never purchased a nicer set of parts for my Mustang. The fit and finish is amazing, even the packaging is incredible! I forget who, but someone here has been tracking them for over a year without issue.

What are your street and track rear camber angles?
Do you have means to measure camber and toe yourself?

I'm using BMR's recommended camber (F/R) Track: -2.75/-2.0, Street: -1.50, -1.25

As for measuring camber/toe, yes I use the string alignment kit from Caliper Garage (but I used different 0.05mm braided fishing line to get it more precise), as well as SPC FasTrax camber/caster gauge. (before it got really expensive!)

I agree with those two sets of camber numbers.

Have you seen how much your toe changes with camber change?
I don't have my notes with me, but I think the toe change were fairly significant between those two cambers. I want to say it was about 0.15 degrees per side? So it could go from a good toe in to zero toe in, or from good toe in to too much toe in just by changing between the cambers.

On another note, the one downside to the AAD toe links is that the tabs don't give you infinite adjustability. But I was able to get it dialed in closer than I could with the factory links. And I'd rather be able to quickly swap between predetermined toes/cambers than dial in the last 0.01mm when doing the alignment.

Completely agree.
I like those rear arms too, but I decided against the price and instead opted for a single rear compromise camber/toe. ~ -1.8° and 0.25° total toe.

I also use Caliper Garage string kit to set initial baseline and then use Longacre toe plates for expediency.

Did you find my multi post writeup for DIY alignment?

Back when I was first researching doing my own alignment, I read through hundreds of posts. I'm guessing yours was one of them, but I don't recall. Sorry! 😬

Doesn't look like the same starting point to me, as far as the aluminum body.

Yes because Cortex uses FEA when they design the parts, and the others leave all that extra mass because its cheaper to produce.
