So as I stated in another post, I was rear ended by an SUV about 2 weeks ago and they managed to screw up roush axle back. I was deadset on going with the roush again until I saw the MBRP. I like the sound of the roush with the x pipe better than any other exhaust I've heard so far...but im interested in the claimed hp gains the MBRP makes. Has anyone heard the 2 in person? I cant judge by youtube clips and would there be a significant HP improvement from the roush + xpipe combo to the 3" MBRP Race exaust?

BTW here is some gore :(:

Almost no HP gain with a catback, if you plan on going headers or boost then the 3" would be your best bet.

I've had MBRP street and Borla s-type with H pipe and now Roush with H pipe. I think the MBRP street doesn't sound to good and it's not loud at all when on it.. At idle you can barely hear it. When on it it has a odd sound to me. I'm very happy with my setup now.

A friend/co-worker has the MBRP on his GT and it's way too loud/raspy for me. I've been giving him hell about it for about a year now. He finally admitted last week that it's too raspy and he purchased some mini race billet mufflers that we are going to try and splice into the exhaust. Under WOT on the track, his exhaust sounds great... but for every day driving, it's too much. I have the Roush Axle Back and I love it.

You'll gain around 11-13 rwhp with the MBRP race catback. The stock exhaust is extremely restrictive on the 15+ cars and very heavy. You'll drop around 35 lbs with the MBRP race t409 and gain 13 rwhp. Cars that have been on the dyno baselining 382 are around 400 whp with the catback and no tune. My Roush phase 1 (before I went phase 2) base lined 590 rwhp and picked up 17 rwhp with the MBRP. My 2015 GT premium base lined 380 rwhp and with MBRP it was 398 rwhp on a hot day.

That's because you went to a 3 inch setup. If you didn't have a supercharger you would have seen zero gain. With someone with a base stick setup with just a cat back you will not see any gains.

I'd have to see independent proof of that on another NA car The stock exhaust flows very well at NA power levels other than that 2" crush point which doesn't get eliminated by any catback. You are talking almost catless header gains there.

I did read it all. Let's see them dyno sheets! You are the only person that I have heard say that a cat back will give you over 10more whp. So really that would be around 15 to 20 for the motor. I can see maybe a 5 hp increase. But this would be with all exhaust systems. And if this was true why wouldn't MBRP be throwing this out there as big gains from a cat back. I had the MBRP street it sounded like shit. (To my ears) after I switch my exhaust to Borla and now Roush axle backs with H pipe. I felt no difference in power.
