It's a deep tone with slight raspiness but in a good way. I think more raspiness comes with a resonator delete. I know the pre 2015 5.0s were more raspy with the roush axlebacks

Ok. this is me right now. Was about to buy the mbrp street but beefcake never got back to me :(

maybe that's a sign. someone said here the roush sounds raspy but all the exhausts sound raspy over videos, but that the roush sounds a lot deeper in person.

so, anyone who's gotten the roush, any complaints? is it raspy at all? WOT?

And how does WOT compare between the two?
pm sent, missed that one

I have the MBRP street on now for about 6k miles. The only thing i wish is that the idle was I little louder. Other wise I don't care for the raspy sound after 3k RPM's but it grows on you. I'm actually about to sell my system and try the Roush with H pipe. Just because I want something louder. The one thing I'm not sure if I like. Is that the Roush is 2.5 inch and the MBRP is 3 inch. I don't know if when I add headers if this will make a big difference. Question for those who have done the Roush + H pipe. When you buy a H pipe do you need extra pipe to connect the HPipe to the roush mufflers? Just seems that the Roush axle backs have some short pipes on them.

Sorry I never updated you guys on what I thought of the roush ab once I installed it. I love it. People comment on it all the time. It's the perfect volume. Noticeably louder than stock. Very loud wot. But overall not too loud. I considered an H pipe but feel like it might be too loud for where I live. I can't speak on the mbrp since I haven't heard it in person but you deff can't go wrong with the roush
Agree completely. Have the Roush AB and absolutely love it after about 10 months now. It's the perfect volume and nice deep grumble. Sounds bad ass when you open it up. Totally happy with my selection.

I haven't heard the mrbp, so can't comment on any differences between the two.

However, I do have the roush coupled with an x-pipe. I have also heard the roush with stock resonator in place, but just idle and revs. The roush by itself has a great tone, deep and aggressive. I didn't hear any rasp. Add the x-pipe, and it really wakes up. Still deep, but once you go WOT, it does have some rasp to it. Honestly, it really adds to the overall sound (not volume, but overall tone). But it is very loud when you get on it. If you don't want too loud, I'd say go roush and keep resonator in place. I have absolutely zero complaints with the setup I have.

Not sure if you have seen the vid posted by Khyber in this thread:

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32827

He has the corsa extreme, but it sounds almost exactly like the roush/x-pipe setup.

Here's my original video after installation, FYI.
Sounds even better after months of break-in.

Another vote for the Roush AB. Deeper tone and a little louder than stock at idle. Loud when you hit the throttle hard but quiet (inside the car) at highway speeds. Perfect for my daily driver needs.

Thanks for the video! Just to clarify...you had the stock resonator in those?

Sorry to get a little off topic, but what is the type of material on the stock mustangs exhaust (Aluminum or Stainless Steel)?

I plane on getting the MBRP Streets, btw.

I vote Roush ABs too! I've had mine on for about a month now and love them!

I looked at Roush vs MBRP as well. Roush was my choice-loved them on my 14 and same on my 15. I actually think they're a little quieter and deeper on the 15. They aren't too bad on startup either after about 15 seconds. I just granny shift until I'm leaving the neighborhood and noone has complained yet (condos surrounded by houses). The best part of the Roush for me is the lack of drone (wife complains lol). I will be doing the resonator delete as soon as I get "bored" with just the axleback :D

How much louder is the Roush AB then either Ford Racing Tour or Sport cat-back? I didn't want anything to loud and definitely no drone. I started with the FRPP Tour, now you guys have me considering the Roush AB.
