Hey guys so i swapped my exhaust out from stock to the Roush A/B- i also have the H-pipe and the combination is way to loud for my convertible. Is anyone willing to swap exhaust with me that is somewhat quieter than the Roush ones?

Anyone give me advice which model to go with that will be tad louder than stock but not crazy like the roush.

Can you add the active system to your exhaust? You can then program the noise level based on rpm vs throttle position. Or set to full quiet or track.

Take off the H-pipe and install the stock resonator.

Install a couple resonators. That is what I am going to do.

How long have you had it? I'd suggest waiting a 2 or 3 weeks to make sure its not something you'll learn to love.

I have corsa extremes with catless stainless works exhaust, thought it was too loud, started loving it a week after driving it.

I put a Borla Stype cat back on my vert this week and I think it's PERFECT. Friend of mine down the street has fastback with H pipe and roush axle backs and it's louder and raspier than my Stype but mine has a deeper and throatier growl and it's not even near obnoxious but VERY present.
I may sound like a big Borla fan boy here lately but I did months of research worried about it being loud enough to be fun and have a great sound but also I wanted it civil, not just for my neighborhood but I wanted absolutely no drone and I wanted to be able to talk normally over it or listen to the radio with the top down and I really think I nailed it. Got friends in my neighborhood with Roush and flowmaster outlaws all are either too loud or drone too much for a convertible and what I wanted.

if it's too loud, you're too old!

You can trade your axle backs. To bad we are not closer. I have Borla S-Type axle backs that I'm selling or trading.

Hell I'll trade, i have legato axle back. It's deep and loud but i don't think as loud as roush. I don't mind louder, was thinking high flow cats to get there.

What he said.......leave it for a week or two. I have the Roush AB and put in the x pipe. I thought for sure it was too loud but after a week I realized how to manage my RPMs to keep it from being obnoxious unless I want it to be. Now I love it and wouldn't want any other "catback" setup (except maybe a Corsa Extreme but I'm too cheap lol)

Damn and i used to live in IL too - i think the borla s-type probably would have been perfect. I'm going to put my resonator back in. The raspy is getting to me.

My other mustang 2011 has just roush on it and it sounds perfect.

If the the roush axle backs are to loud I would recommend the borla touring, louder than stock but not annoy the neighbors loud (I have the s-type catback which is fairly loud especially on a cold morning startup.) I think the next best thing is to put back the stock exhaust but leave the h-pipe.

Hey Buellracer do you get a weird sound at around 2250 rpm.

From what I've heard they are close in volume and drone.
