I'd be interested in knowing what happened to the rider. I've seen people walk away from something like that, get 30' away, then (as the adrenaline rush wears off) suddenly sit down and turn out to have significant injuries.
He should have let the Porsche do the countdown and not pin the throttle in 1st or 2nd gear. That looks like a GSXR1000. At a redline of 13k it theoretically can do about 91 miles an hour in 1st. gear! But that is just theory-because if you try to do that on the street this is the result. Sportbikes are to be ridden with respect at all times-otherwise they bite!!!
For those that don't know anything about 1000 cc sportbikes(400 lbs. dry weight and 150-200 hp) I was out riding mine a while back, got onto the highway and decided to hammer it. Downshifted from 4th to 3rd gear and gave it a handful of throttle. The back tire started to spin when it got to 10k rpm=triple digit mph(of course I was in Mexico that day). I looked back thinking "I don't remember seeing any moisture on the road" and sure enough, the highway was bone dry!
