I was wondering how you guys brought in boost when roll racing. I’ve got a TT 10r80 with 3.15 gears and was hoping to get some insight on how others are set up for roll racing events 60 rolls

3:31 would help and Manuel mode on the auto so you could be in the lowest gear having your rpm’s in the power band.

It depends on the whole setup of the car and where your powerband lies.

I have a 2015, 3.15, 6r80 paxton car, so its a bit different but same principle. For a 60 roll, drive at 60mph then put shifter in sport mode and use the paddleshifters to downshift a few times until the car feels its well within its power band. Roll into the throttle and a second or two later you put the shifter back into drive while you are racing. This lets the transmission take back control before you hit the limit of rpm so it takes care of the upshifts. Do not use the paddles to upshift

Tune is very important, and I am told some cars will automatically upshift to the next gear even in sport mode, but my car/tune does not do that.

As far as what gear you need, my car is a 6r80. I usually put it in the lowest possible gear, or whatever gear lets it sit around 5k rpm. You will have more gear options. You don't want to "floor" the car for racing. You roll into the throttle. Think of it like you are chasing G forces, slowly and gradually add throttle to keep the same amount of g force. If it loses traction on the automatic upshifts, that is an issue that can be fixed with a tune or tires.
