My 'stang also made a sefless sacrifice in an effort to save me, although my accident (a side swiping by a vehicle going the other way on a two lane road) was minor in comparison to yours.

First time I've had a car totaled out from under me...

I've ordered a new 'stang, but I have to pay out-of-pocket for a long term rental while I'm waiting for the new car (thinking about suing the truck owner [a grocery store] in small claims court over that once I have a final bill!). My chiropractor is definitely enjoying the extra business from this...

P.S. If you're a AAA member, you can save lots of money on a monthly car rental from Hertz. I got it down to where it cost me less than a Mustang payment (per month). You have to reserve the car from the AAA website to get the discount.

this is the other car. he is not dead. he was taken off on a stretcher.. if he could have walked i would have dropped him in the middle of the intersection even with broken hands.. i was furious... inside all of the airbags were out it looked fairly normal except everything just ontop of my lap lol i don't have any pictures on me but ill see if i can find any..

Had hand surgery for fingers broken when hands were tangled in steering wheel. Anything but minor as Recovery was quite painful and lingering. Sorry about your ordeal.

I was told by my sales guy, so take it with a grain of salt, that in a crash like this the engine is designed to drop out of the engine bay to prevent it from being pushed into the driver dash.
