I have an appt Wednesday but has anyone else had this?
Rev matching will randomly just not work... sometimes after 1-2 minutes of driving other times after miles. On a rare occasion it will also START working again. Normally I'll have to turn the car off and wait 2-5min, then restart and its working again.

Did you get the issue resolved? I've never had an issue with mine. What were the symptoms...just didn't match the engine speed randomly?

I am having a new problem with mine that is causing this also. In the past I have had issues with the inferred engine oil temp limiting the top RPM to something less than 7000 RPM based on the temperature (the higher the temp the lower the max RPM limit) and with this if the car was supposed to rev past the new threshold then it would just not rev match. On a road course this is a issue if you expect it rev match and you let the clutch out on 3rd gear while trying to get the car slowed for a turn. Once you get the car cooled down it will start acting right again.

Unlike in the past with this issue it does not work at all once it starts until I turn the car off and restart it. I don't know if a new check engine light will set this function to not work, but it seams it was happening just after I am getting a low fuel pressure code P008A I believe (this is on a new to me, road course with a long sweeping left hand turn) These may not be tied together but they are happening it seams at the same time.

I test drove a ‘20 with the rev matching before settling on my ‘18. I wasn’t a fan. Adding a rev matching for daily use just doesn’t make sense to me.

Personally I love it for daily use, requires zero thought to downshift. Now spirited driving is a different story.

I have not had an issue with this feature.

You mentioned that after shutting the car down, waiting and then restarting the car, the feature works again.

Does it continue to work afterwards for as long as you like? Or, does it fail yet again and continue to fail? In scenarios involving a lot of shifting (and a lot of rev matching), does it tend to fail more often, versus on a highway drive (when there is little use of the feature).

It almost seems like it's something heat-related, with the throttle. Not that the engine is overheating, but a component might be weak and is failing once it reaches a certain temperature. Frequent cycling of any electronic component, a weak component, can cause it to overheat. Shutting the car down gives the component time to cool down and relax.
