I'm thinking about getting the resonator delete, currently have the kooks muffler. If I want it to be louder should I go with x pipe or h pipe?

I have an h pipe, my dad has an X pipe (both stock AE mufflers). I think the X sounds smoother (my h pipe seems burble a little more when letting off the gas) but I prefer the tone of the h a tad more. Has more of the stock tone to it just louder. I think my dad’s X pipe is slightly louder but it’s really hard to tell a difference without a decibel meter. X pipe will let the rasp of the coyote come through more, especially in the mid and high rpm range. H keeps it a little deeper in the low to mid range but it will still scream in the upper range.

I’ve not heard either with Kooks mufflers but I would assume the above would hold true.

H pipe for a deeper cleaner tone, X pipe for a raspier tone

I have an X-pipe and the resonators removed, and it sorta sounds like a GT350 now... I'd go with the X-pipe!
I would hope yours sounds like a GT350 🤭

Kind of a higher pitch, angry screaming kind of sound vs old school muscle which is more deep & throaty. That’s the best way I can describe it

GT500 has an X if that’s the type of sound you’re looking for.
