No, I fully get that point. Mine is that the Toyota + Subaru comparison is a case of apples and tennis balls. The cars have bad valve springs and are getting recalled to get fixed. With Ford, there has been no admission of a problem at all. Further, even if there is no vehicle-wide problem (and maybe there isn't), it would still be nice to have feedback on what is causing the notable number of failures that have occured. So, yeah, I agree, all manufactures have failures. However, what the article also shows is an honorable way to approach failures--ok, ignore the somewhat dishonrable part about Subaru lying in the pastYour missing the point! All manufacturers have failures. And some to larger scale than others. Doomed!
