Removing Engine Cover

So I HATE the engine cover on my 21 GT. I'd like to remove it after I do a CAI...but what do you do with the oil fill cap? Anything else that should be done to clean up the look? I wish they just did it like the Mach 1 / GT350.

The extended neck for the fill cap twists off easily and you can put the oil cap in its place. That's what I did.

I got it as part of the FP calibration, which I'm a huge fan of. I wouldn't bother with a CAI personally without some kind of tune.

As above it should twist off counterclockwise. In my case the locking tab on it broke, so make sure to check it when you remove it. If you don't, the little plastic nub will fall down into the engine.

So you had no issues? I have a 2020 PP2 and it does not want to come off. I can turn it slightly left or right but it doesn’t twist off easily for me. I’m afraid to break it and have a part fall down into the engine. Why does ford do this?
