You know I've read all the horror stories about people leaving their vehicles in gear and whatnot. I've had a standard car since 16 years old as 14 years driving a manual transmission. I live in Arkansas Arkansas is flat. Always left my card in neutral just put the parking brake on. Never had an issue. I don't let anyone else drive my car.
In my old 90 Integra I would turn the key to start and the car would wait until the clutch/interlock was engauged before it would crank. This became habit, don't know why. Fast forward 10 years to the auto shop I worked at, old ass Jeep with no interlocks. Hop in, key turned to start only this time she started forward. Scared the piss outta me. Old habits are hard to break.
