Guys,
It's illegal!
You can unable the option with a software but the remotes are very expensive.
You need to buy two remotes, pay to unable the option (if somebody agrees!), reprogram the remotes.
You are responsible! it's against the law.

Don't do it.

First of all, it's unsafe. Either you have to leave the car in neutral which i won't even do on level ground, or risk staring it in gear and hurting person or property or even causing death.

Secondly, since it has to be aftermarket, a company like Viper, etc. will have to mess around with all your wiring. Aftermarket alarms always seem to break down after a few years. Leave the factory Ford alarm.
Do you really want to carry an extra remote with you?

Bad, bad, bad idea. I know someone who did it, and almost lost my legs to their stupidity. They bypassed to clutch safety switch. They pinned my between their car and my car when they were trying to be 'cool'. All it takes is once. I watched an S10 with the same set up drive through the front of a building in its own with the same set up.
Happened to a friend of mine.. hit remote start, had it in reverse, damn thing went up on the curve and hit a storefront, broke a giant window.

Against who's law? California? Do you know how many cars have them from the factory like my sisters Impala? I've had them before, nothing illegal about them(I'm not in Cali) and nothing unsafe, it had built in measures to ensure the car was in neutral, otherwise it wouldn't start the car.

Remote start is actually illegal in some states.. which ones exactly I don't know, I just know that there is a disclaimer for it on some vehicles like the Dodge Charger/Dart which I almost purchased before getting this stang, they tell you to check your local laws but yeah.. it's not uncommon.

Not sure why people in here park a manual car in neutral. Just a dumb thing to do IMO. Being in gear is a good backup in case something happens to the ebrake. Takes 1 second to do when parking the car.
I park my car in neutral 99% of the time, unless my car is slanted.

I do it for my own safety, I once forgot to pop it back to gear before I started the car and almost hit the fence in front of me. Lesson learned for me, I'm bound to forget again and rather not take the chance.

I trust the e-brake will do it's job. I have faith in Ford:ford:

this sounds like it could be its own thread / poll : parking - neutral vs. gear

Been a long time since I have been in a manual transmission, and when I first got it, I pulled up to a gas station, got out to gas up the car, and it started to roll :headbonk:

Compustar is the brand I trust. Had them on four previous cars and never an issue. Always leave my car out of gear even on hills.

Unless I'm mistaken you're supposed to turn your wheels when parking on an incline so if your ebrake fails your rear or front wheel will contact the curb and go no where.

One thing to note is that adding an aftermarket alarm/starter will void your warranty. This came from my servicing dealer.

Two. There's a vallet mode that takes the car out of remote start and cancels any need for sequence before exiting the vehicle. You cannot remote start your Compustar while its in gear if properly installed. Neutral switch should never be bypassed.

thats enough to keep me away from it.

Any time I use my clutch, I manipulate the stick. It's second nature. Always. Left foot - right hand. It would feel very strange to start the car and do nothing with my right hand. I start her up, slide it in neutral, buckle up, put her in gear and take off. Never an issue with accidental movement when I remove my foot from the clutch. As long as you remember clutch=stick, you'll be fine.
