But if he does frequent this site, someone tell him that the marketing guys are seriously botching this launch. The hellcat has so much more press at the moment because they're being completely transparent.
Honestly, they are not doing anything much different than when they launched the 2011 SuperDuty. I was on a lot of sites back then hunting for information as I was needing a new truck (I was one of those suffering the 2001 Yukon brake line issues...Piece of junk) and fan based websites were one of the only places you could get even semi-reliable information. (oh, btw, to those at Ford... I REALLY admire how you guys stepped up and flashed the diesel up to the new HP/Torque figures back then. I was one of those that did not have the 400 HP from factory and to say I was upset when Ford announced the upgrade just a few months into production is an understatement. You didn't have to do it, but you showed loyalty to your customers when you did so. Things like that will get me to at least look at a Ford when choosing future vehicles, even if you don't have exactly what I want...Full sized RWD cruiser/muscle car like the Aussie Falcon or the SS here in the US...and when my wife gets a new car, she will definitely be looking at the new Mustang GT or GT350 depending on what is out when she gets into the market)

Honestly, Ford might just be using places like this to generate excitement with the fanbase. Think about it. They leak photos, tidbits, maybe start a rumor or two if nothing is going on, and sit back and watch the reaction of the fanbase. Not only does it help them with feedback, but it keeps those that are most excited about the car interested and coming back for more. Think about it, if they told you 3 months ago everything about the car, you would get all excited for about...a month. Then you would lose interest and move on to the next story. This way, they keep us on the edge of our seats wanting just a bit more. These stories will get to the media and I am sure Ford will have a few nice press releases, etc, but only after almost everything is done.

I am not saying I like it, but I understand it...and considering I keep coming back here 2-3 times a day to check on the latest posts, it must be working somehow.

Now, if only they released a stretch version of the S550 with a little more backseat room and call it a Thunderbird (or even a Lincoln Mark IX)....yeah, I still miss my 97 T-bird

Well if either of you are Dave....

1. Why are we getting the gloss black rims on the EB PP? We want the gunmetal choice that was on all the testers.

Remember from that Ford memo thing that almost got someone's LE taken away(Chief)? They are LOW Gloss wheels, aka basically gunmetal.

I took the red pill and followed the rabbit down the hole...Im convinced this site is a attached to Ford in some way or the other. The website is registered by domains by proxy which is a company which specifically hides the identity of a website owner. There is no contact information and everything is set to private. Why pick a domain name service that has a primary goal of hiding your ID for a message board?

I wonder how many of the Koolaid drinkers on this site are marketing/Ford employees...

Well thats enough conspiracy theory for me today so I will pull off my tinfoil hat and get back to drooling over this car. Keep the info and pics coming Ford! :D

Well, that does bring up a good point. We assume that we're all here because we're interested in or are fans of the Mustang. However, we have no idea who among us are Ford employees or those of suppliers in the know, etc. Folks could be dropping good information right in front of us under the guise of speculation and we'd never know it...

No, we'd know. There's always someone that is able to figure things out.

There are a few people on here I personally feel are linked to Ford on this website. When information is released I will search their post history and see if their "predictions" have been accurate. There are some that have been right and or close way too much of the time. They either have an insider information, are incredibly insightful or they need to start playing the lottery.

In the end what better way to get feedback from your customers and influence opinions of potential buys than chatting with them 24x7? If this place is run by Ford I really wish other companies would follow their lead (or maybe they already do). Im so tired of companies guessing what their customers want and then being surprised when no one buys their product.

During a tour of the new Mustang at Ford WHQ back in April with the Brand Manager for Mustang, he told us that the Mustang Team pays a lot of attention to all of the Mustang forums and are very pleased with their record on addressing the common complaints raised on forums. He specifically mentioned Mustang6G. He was particularly pleased that they have been able to keep costs under control while addressing such a high number of concerns.

They should hire me to help them out with their documentation issues then. I'll do it part time and they can just cover the cost of my 2015. :)

I think it's cool they watch the forum for complaints but wish they did it out in the open instead of secretly. If they are going to address common complaints it would be nice if some rep on here could tell everyone "we are aware of XYZ and looking into it."

They have the obvious reps here, which I applaud but if everyone identified themselves we'd overwhelm them and negatively affect their day job. Staying below line helps with market research, consumer issues and future development. Just be thankful they care enough to participate.
