I agree, ceramic coating is fantastic. I had a header coated maybe 7 years ago on a Honda and it only starting flaking off recently near the bottom, presumably from all the abuse from the road. Up top it's still intact. Coated the alum intake manifold too and it looks as good as the day it was done. Not only does ceramic keep things cooler, it looks much better as well. After having the pieces coated, I didn't notice the usual big drop in power from the outside temp getting blistering hot. if I was installing headers on the Mustang I'd either buy them coated or have them done pre-install.If you really want to reduce under hood temps, get your manifolds/headers coated with this. I have done this to several cars I have owned and nothing else compares, plus it reduces the temps whether you are moving or not.
