I have an order in, no VIN unscheduled material hold. I ordered with the tech package and CF dash, but no Recaros. I had a chance to sit in a GT350R with the Recaros and loved them. Some of the reviews said they are too restrictive and tight, but I think they are great seats.

My question, if I change my order now, as it has not yet been pulled for a build, will that result in a further delay? Anyone with info?

If you fit in them stick with them. I do not 6’2 222. So I’m going for comfort and style.

I went with the Recaros having never sat in them. I’m 6’1”, 225 lbs pretty well proportioned legs vs torso. Muscular not thick in the middle. Will I fit in them comfortably?
Car is a very long way away from being any where near production so I can change the option.
Any guys built like me have an opinion?

I am 5'8 and average build. I love the recaros in my gt350, so I ordered them in my gt500. My dad is 6'1 and around 300 (not bc of big muscles). He has ridden in the car a few times and never complained. Probably not as comfortable as the Denali but he doesn't complain at all. When I had a 4 door wrangler he complained nonstop about it not being comfortable to ride in. He's not afraid to say something isn't comfortable. So take that for what it is.

To answer your question, no, you will not cause further delay.

That said, go with the Recaros. I never had them before, and like you I changed my order before it went into production and it just may be my favorite thing about the car. They are absolutely amazing to look at, and sit in. I really loved my comfy leather ones in my past premium GTs, but I must say I like these more.

If you fit, you must not acquit

6’ 240 here and the recaros were a little odd feeling at first, after having the sofas in my 16, but i loved those 350 recaros after a little time in them. My ZLE has heated/cooled recaros, but i still like the 350 version better. Sometimes i have this dumb dream of putting a set in a fox

If you are going to track the car, get the recaros, if not, whatever you think your butt will appreciate more.

I think the heated/cooled/lumbar seats are far better for what I do 99% of the time.

In my GT350 - when I went to the track I installed a roll bar and harnesses. With a harness the leather seats work fine for holding you in position in the car. Seat cooling is really nice for track days as well.

The leather trimmed Recaros are much nicer then the 350 Recaros. They seem a bit wider then the 350 seats. If your Weight is normal for your height I would definitely get them. They look really good IMO.

I got the standard sport seats and now i am regretting it. The Recaros just look sweet and really fit the car and 'make' it. IMO. I have no complaints about the regular seats and got them for the heat/cool. The visual impact of the recaros can't be beat, nobody looks at my seats and says 'Wow' those are awesome/cool. Now if your to....fat...well then that is a different story and probably need to sit in them. I am guessing i would be borderline little wide for them but IDK I would make them work or loose weight!
