Has anyone installed rear coilover extenders on their S550 mustang? There are no online instructions on how to do it with mustangs so was wondering if anyone here has done it and can tell me how. Thanks in advanced

* I have no direct experience with this kit *

That looks like an extender just for the adjuster - I assume to put it in a more user friendly place on applications where adjustment is a PITA ?

Just be careful with coil overs as they feed all the stress into the top mount - just have a read about top mount failure and consider your options / application / execution carefully :like:

Yes it's a pain to adjust the rears, and this makes it 1000x easier. Just want to know if there is an access hole somewhere underneath the trunk carpet to fish these through. And ya, the stock rear shock top mounts are weak, so I'll upgrade them to machined steel when they break lol.

I was an hour and half away from home when mine broke. Trust me. Buy upgrades sooner than later.

Trunk has at holes covered with rubber grommets (plugs) towards back of the car. They're through holes.

Btw - it's not really the mount that breaks, it's the car's sheet metal the mount is bolted to. You have to distribute the load if you're using the full non-divorced spring coilover.
