What happens to/with the rear spring perch when true coilovers are installed in the rear of our 2015 Mustang Gt's. Does it just sit empty?

See my post in the other coilover thread where you asked this question. The short answer is that IF someone came up with credible coilovers that mounted in the shock location the upper spring perch on the frame and the lower spring "pocket" on the lower control arm would simply stay on the car. The upper perch, other than a rubber insulator, is welded to the frame and the lower perch in the control arm is part of the casting. Good explanation of the suspension here: http://www.edmunds.com/ford/mustang...15-ford-mustang-gt-suspension-walkaround.html

As stated by several of us in several threads "credible coilovers" for the rear of our cars is not likely for several reasons having to do with strength and the way shocks work. If for some reason you "need" to easily adjust rear ride height the only current credible solution I've seen is adjustable "seats" that install between the spring and the lower spring pocket in the lower control arm.
