All depends on if your dog is used to getting treats or table scraps when making your food. My guy knows we have a routine and wont let me deviate as much as I wont let him push for more. When I'm making my lunch in the morning he's at his food bowl patiently waiting for me to finish and give him a little treat after doing some tricks. I want to say he's well trained but he's just super smart.
