R update chicagoland

This is my 5th mustang I had a guard metallic 15 with dark saddle seats that went to mustang heaven on 11/16/16. But this Shelby is a WHOLE different animal!! Hopefully I get to ride with a few of you local guys

You should join us at Supercar Saturday at the Bolingbrook Prominade this Saturday morning. There are usually a few GT350's that show up along with about 400 other nice vehicles.

for me if i had an R the first thing i would do is Xpel paint protection film. in fact i would go with a paint correction, Xpel the front half and top with CQuartz.

Car looks amazing.

Get a comfortable chair and a nice cup of ice tea. Park the chair facing the side of the car and slowly sip your tea. As you do take a long hard look at those beautiful wheels. Remember how amazing they look because form this day forward they will be covered in a thick coat of brown brake dust, hidden from the world for all time.

Never been to Bolingbrook, but if its half as good as what they bring out at Barrington...Really cool show.

I've been to both over the years. It gets the same type of cars. The venue is kind of cool as the main area is in the outdoor mall. So has the feel of walking down a closed street.

So, for shits and giggles today after doing some bodybuilding and detailing the Roush a bit, I did a search for 2017 GT350R cars.
HOLY SMOKES!!!!!! :eyebulge: :eyebulge:
I didn't realize the markup on those cars. It's insane. I didn't get too deep into the search, but I found one about 2 miles away and they were asking OVER 100K for it with electronics package, which is what I want. I found 2 or 3 other R's, all at over 100K.
If that's a precursor for the new GT500 car, looks like I'm not getting either one of these cars. :lol: :headbonk:

Some dude wants $250K for his red one on Autotrader, so that's probably throwing off the average asking price. But man, I thought it would have calmed down by now! Looks like no R for me any time soon.

But seriously, sometimes the main street area gets policed for cars that are allowed in there. Super rare car or cars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to over a million dollars. So ya, in comparison, poverty stangs. lol

Well no chin splitter today Ford has shipped out the 2nd damaged splitter to the dealership thankfully the guy who is going to put it on is catching this before he applies it
On a different note Simoniz application went 95% well there were some spots that I think they could've done better the average eye might not catch it but I can Application was good just the quality control was so-so

I'm shooting for no later than 7:00am. Maybe earlier. This will be my third Supercar Saturday, and my first in Bolinbrook. So far I've yet to get up early enough to see the parade of cars arrive. I don't plan on missing it tomorrow.

You need to arrive between 7:30 and 8:00
