I think it's pretty clear that it reduces modulation and cannot physically alter the system delay.

You push the pedal less, the throttle body opens more....that's it.

It gives you the ability to have the throttle response (modulation) of track mode all the time if you so desire...without having to be in track mode.

It gives you the feeling that the car is faster and making more power by reducing modulation.

Different strokes for different folks....there is obviously a market for these and many people like em. Kudos to the manufacturers who give us what we want.

So the pedal commander amplifies the speed of the pedal signal to the ecu? How much faster does this product get the signal to the ecu?
1.5 million gigawatts! +/- a %. Does that satisfy you.

I'm no super-genius, but I felt that the explanation was spot on and quite complete. It seems to me that you're nitpicking...to what end I don't know. Maybe you think that if you keep asking more and more questions then you'll succeed at something, who knows? But to me, if you really were inquisitive and wanted to learn, then instead of a failed attempt to put them on the spot, you would have called and talked to them instead of trying to make yourself look intelligent with your questions. It was explained in full detail. It was simplified easy enough for even the least intelligent person to understand what it does and how it works.
I guess what he's trying to distinguish is a)Magnitude: how much the throttle will open at a given pedal position, and b)Latency: the time it takes for the throttle to respond to a change of input from the pedal.

That a particular range of frequencies is used to modulate the magnitude of the throttle has nothing to do with latency, which is more of a mechanical and/or electrical issue.

^^^ This, right here is what it boils down to. I doesn't pay to argue if it makes your car faster or any of that nonsense, or even what it does. But, it does alter the "feel" of the car and lots of people like it. I think we can agree on that. I like my car way better with my "pedal altering device" (I don't want to give free advertising)! Look, for those of you that think it's snake oil we've all heard you. Although, it is amusing because most of the people bashing these devices have never tried one. There are also those who like the pedalmax, sprintbooster, and pedal commander. This site is awesome and I'm thankful to have it as a resource. But, I've never been on a forum with so much arguing. I can't believe this thread is still going!

I installed a PedalMax shortly after gettIng my GT based on a the forum hype. I bought the version with the knob to dial it however you like. I installed it so without the knob because I wanted to know what 100% fealt like. Well I could tell it had changed, but nothing drastic like many report. No need for me to ever want to install the knob since I can't see any reason to "tone" it down a little. Recently I was thinking this winter it might be nice to have the knob in case I ever drive the car on snow, but kind of think even then it wouldn't make a difference.

Sorry to here that about your Pedalmax. I have the PCommander and I can't even use the middle which is sport mode. Way to touchy for me. I have mine in city -1. There are 4 modes with 1-4 positive modes and 1-4 negative modes. It was also cheaper than the Pmax after the knob. It can also be transferred to other US vehicles so if you sell the stang you aren't stuck with trying to sell it. :thumbsup:x2 for the Pedal commander.

I doubt it has anything to do with brand. There are hundreds (if not thousands) of ultra positive reviews of Pedalmax and the enhanced throttle performance some feel, there are the same amount of negative to neutral reviews for it as well. I expect PCommander to follow suit.
