Quick question: Ngauge or SCT programmer?

One thing to keep in mind is that the nGauge will be not only married to your vehicle but to Lund. Correct me if I'm wrong but if I understood correctly this means that only Lund can tune your device. This is not necessarily the end of the world as Lund is an excellent tuner but I will rather keep my options open .

In my case I'm local to some tuners (Steeda, BBR) than only do SCT programming so I went with the X4. I mounted it to the windshield next to the pillar and I display real time data (IAT,ECT,%Load,Lambse,etc...)

I am very happy with my SCT, if you would like an ngauge pick up an unlocked version. I would hate being locked down to one tuner.

Just pulled the plug. Cai and ngauge with 93 lund tune is on the way. I'm running xpipe with muffler delete. Hopefully I will see some nice gains.

Had an SCT. Got rid of it in favor of the nGauge.

After the first flash, subsequent flashes are done in about 3 minutes compared to 15 minutes with the SCT.

Also had the SCT fail a flash on me once. They worked it out on the phone, but I've flashed with the nGauge several times more than I did with the SCT and the nGauge hasn't missed a beat.

I have it suction cup mounted with the wire hidden in the weather stripping. I monitor knock retard, alcohol content and both lambdas.

Needless to say I'm much happier with the nGauge.

It doesnt take 15 minutes for the SCT. Maybe going back to stock yes but not swapping tunes once already tuned. FYI you could also get the Livewire from SCT. Looks better when mounting than the X4.

Need help with data logging. Do I just log normal driving or test hits. And where do I send it. I didn't see a email address on lund racing.

do an idle log for 2 mins, a driving log of 10 minutes normal, idle and hold your revs at 1500-2500-3500 for 15's each and then send them on over. that's usually the logs I do when tweaking and it produces good data for them

Got a noob question guys. Know a guy selling an ngauge but he's got a tune for his car. Wondering how much Lund charges for just a new tune? Also, how much would you guys pay for the ngauge itself? Also, does it have to be unmarried first?

You'll want to verify whether the nGauge that person is selling is a Lund Racing nGauge. Because if it's not a Lund Ngauge he won't be able to tune it for you.

With that said custom tunes from Lund Racing are $200.00 for bolt-ons.
