Couple quick questions. I loaded the tune directly to the SD card via computer. I’ve installed the gauge into the car and didn’t want to take it to add a tune to the card. I know I can do it directly to the gauge and card inside via micro USB cord.

Should I inplug the nGauge from the OBD data port to load the new tune into the gauge or does it matter as long as the key is off?

Do I need to go back to stock tune before loading a new tune? Same tuner (Lund) so will just be a revision.

I need to look at the strategy in the stock tune before the revision, so I need to load the stock tune. How do I do this? Just go to the NGauge and load the stock tune? Anything special I need to do or know?

I hate this computer stuff. I always seem to mess things up doing them lol.

Once again, thank you for your assistance!

If there’s anything else you think I should know, please pass it on!

I'll try and answer a few of these.

You don't need to unplug it to add the tune since you'll be putting it into usb mode to access the SD card.

You do not need to put the stock tune back on. Just the revised tune.

If you want to load the stock tune you can just do it. No problems if done correctly. Not sure what you're trying to look at.

Thank you.

Need to look at the factory tune strategy. Trying to diagnose my cruise control that’s not working. Think maybe the strategy for the tune may be off so we’ll start there.

Thanks!

Ok. Loaded the stock tune back in and still no cruise light when I tried to turn it on. Loading Lund tune back in as we speak. I was able to pull the strategy off the stock tune file. Not sure his will make a difference though...

Yay! Success!

I was pulling the stock tune strategy that you can only see when the stock tune is loaded. John Lund was going to do a custom rewrite of that exact strategy. However, after loading the stock on then putting the Lund tune back on, success! I have my cruise control back. The question John had was if there was some discrepancy between the tune and stock strategy and if so, then rewrite the tune.

But all is good now!! Easy peasy once I got over the fear of reflashing twice.

All is good!

Now to data log...
