Hi Guys, I wanted to know if the PP1 wheels are heavier than the wheels that come on the Black Out Package?

Also can I delete the PP1 Spoiler and get the Black out lower lip spoiler with the PP1 package

Lastly would u opt for the 301a or the 400 package

I would guess they are probably heavier, if for no other reason than they are wider. There is a "what things weigh" thread somewhere on here that probably has the answer.

If you really don't want the pp1 spoiler, your best bet is to sell it and install the smaller lip spoiler. They sell for $400+ and I'm sure you could get the base model spoiler for much less.

I believe the main difference between the 301a vs 400 is just the leather seats. I love the cloth in mine over the leather but it is obviously personal preference. Otherwise you still get the 8" screen and drive modes with both packages.

Thank you, I'm going to drive a GT/A10/301a/Black Out/3.55/Dual Mode Exhaust tomorrow

I have a 301A pack and I only cared for the screen and the metal toggle switches. I also have the dual mode exhaust, but mine is a 6 speed. I love the PP1 spoiler. I think they look bad ass and I can not imagine the car without it. My buddy has one with spoiler delete.

The rear wheels in PP1 will be heavier (wider) than black out package. Some dealers ordered in spoiler delete. Might be harder to find (delete) versus having it. I personally thought the rear wing brings a new look and fits the setup. If you want cloth the 301A is way to go to get the extra goodies.

Remember drag mode does not come in 300A base cars. Would have to tune it to get it. Fyi.

Blackout wheels aren’t very light either. If I recall they are around 24 or 25llbs. PP1 wheels I believe are over 30lbs. Crazy heavy.

The Black out spoiler to me is way better than the PP1, but we all have are likes and dislikes..
I drove the car, very nice and pulls like a frieght train in sport mode..

I still wanna drive a Challnger T/A I really like that too.
I know its not quite as fast as a 19 GT but its a beautiful car too...

From what I understand, a tune won't give you drive modes. It won't have the adjustments to the modules (steering, abs, etc) like the factory ones do.

However, you can do a sync3 swap and enable all of the factory drive modes through Forscan. A dude on FB has a kit with an adapter harness, screen and other bits needed that's plug and play for ~$1,500.

It does not give you toggle functions. But, it gives you the wot shifts,VCT and timing adjustments to the fuel. Without the tune a 300A car will not run with drag mode car. :).

If weight is a concern, get the 301A package. The heated and cooled "Premium" seats weigh more, I'd guess 75 lbs more. And the cloth seats grip you better, wear better, and IMO are just more comfortable for long drives.

So get the 301A, order it spoiler-delete, or buy it with the spoiler, and replace it with a smaller one.

I don't think you can get the Black Out wheels with PP1. PP1 wheels are a staggered size.

I posted this in the other thread:
The black accent front wheel/tire combination weighs around 58 lbs (19x8.5" wheel) I believe. The PP1 front wheel/tire combined weigh 60 lbs, and the rears weigh 64 lbs, so the PP1 wheels/tires are a few lbs heavier (the fronts are 1/2" wider than the black accent, and the rears are 1" wider than the black accent). All of the weight gain in the rear is due to the bigger tires, the front/back PP1 wheels weigh the same (about 32 lbs.), even though the rear is 1/2" wider (not sure how but that's what the "what things weigh" thread says).

If the few extra pounds bothers you, just put in 2-3 less gallons of fuel (12-18 lbs).

I ordered the PP1 spoiler as the ones sold in my country does not come with any spoiler.
I personally think that having the GT with a track pack spoiler looks better...
