Car has 10,100 miles, never tracked, never a burn out.

Removed my wheels to start painting the calipers and notice when rolling my front right out of the garage I have what I believe is tire threads showing.

Not an expert by any means on tires. I measured tread depth and the 3 grooves starting from the left (inner)are as follows.

4.5/32, 6/32 and 5/32

The front left has identical tread depth and no chords showing.

You need an alignment. You have to much positive toe out or positive camber on that side. May have bent suspension components on that side also. An alignment will tell you the issue.

This is what both of my inside front tires looked like after 11,000 miles. Alignment was factory alignment. Very aggressive. I have since gone much less aggressive with a slight loss of performance. I don’t track. Not a big deal. It sucked to have to dispose of the tires since the rest of the tires were in very good shape with plenty of tread life. I learn my lesson and check my tires on a monthly basis now.

Did you have your free alignment check performed within first 6 months of ownership if you bought car new. If alignment is correct driving aggressive or not should not wear tires out like that. If alignment is correct entire tire should be worn evenly.

Strangle for Camber to be out that much on one side. Did you hit a big Pot Hole on the road or hit a curb?. An alignment will fix unless their is something bent. Good luck.

Guess I'll be making an appt then for an alignment.

Never hit any pot holes, definitely nothing bent.

So the next question, replace both fronts or can I get away with just replacing the front right?

And then should ai buy Sullivan tires lifetime alignment (two alignments a year for life) for $199 or go to Ford and pay a little less for 1 lol.

I have the lifetime on all my other cars, well worth the money. Can have them throw a new tire on at the same time.

Bought the car used with 1,500 miles on it back in Nov of 2020. OASIS didn't show an alignment check at the time when I had it run prior to purchasing

I purchased a car with 1500 miles on it. Did not get an alignment check until I discovered the wear. My understanding is that the alignment from the factory was set for performance not wear life. I’d have to look back at the before and after alignment numbers, but I think it was within factory specs before I had them changed.

If only one tire is worn out then yes can replace that one tire with same size/brand. Lifetime alignment for 2 bills is great deal so yes I would go for it. Is that for a four wheel alignment since 2015+ stangs are independent rear suspension as well it needs to have four wheel alignment check performed.

Like i said if car was bought new and is less than 6 months old/6000 miles ford will do free alignment under warranty and if this is the case would likely replace worn tire due to incorrect alignment settings.

If set for performance and that is resulting tire wear then IMO not a good setting. Even performance alignment should not result in tire wear on inside like that since the rest of tire shows no signs of being scuffed or excessive wear to tread.

Was tire ever run low on air. But even run low on air wear should be on both inner and outer edges not just inner. Definite toe or camber issue.

Both my front tires showed the exact same wear.

Then front end has too much positive toe out which is done to to help with turn in when driving aggressive but as you see will dramatically shorten tire life. If you are not tracking the car regularly then I would have set to normal street alignment instead of track alignment.
