So im looking to boost my car this summer and was thinking about going supercharger, I was hoping to get some input from guys already running a blower set up. I want to be around 650 to 700hp strictly a street car also the wife and I enjoy taking the car on trips that are between 2 to 4 hours long wanted to know if thats going to be an issue.

#1 what set up do you guys got and how do you like it

#2 how is it driving around town

#3 have you taken the car on any longer trips and how was it

Any input would be greatly appreciated as of now im leaning towards E-force or roush set up, thanks in advance

I have an older Whipple. Smaller pulley, Lund tune, headers.... It drives like stock until you get into. Gas mileage is similar to stock until you get into it.... I haven't taken it on a long trip but it shouldn't be any different.

If you’re going pd, I can help objectively guide you through pros and cons of each option.

I have a Whipple 2018 that I bought new and supercharged from a couple months after it was purchased. It was a daily driver for several years and over 60k miles now.

1) I went procharger and don’t regret a thing, except I waited too long to do it…have about 20k on the kit now.

i didn’t need the tire shredding torque down low, most of what I do is on the highway. And I loved the simplicity of the kit, took about six hours to install.

2) and 3) I daily drive mine…average is about 100 miles round trip, all the way up to a couple times a year from Dallas to Sandy Eggo and back.

i also went with the straight cut gears and love the sound…anyone who asks, I just tell em I have a bad alternator bearing 😬

Ive never had or driven in a PD setup (im sure its awesome). But a centri is so easy to drive and control especially in the power range your talking. Plus you get a blow off valve which feeds some type of primal need. Nothing better than going through the gears with a big tial and straight cut gears. You dont really even need to go into boost and the car sounds like it's trying to take off.

Im sure with modern tuning capabilities any setup should be fine as a dd. Just stay up on your maintenance.

I did the ESS thing with a wengert 93 tune on a 120 pully...no issues after almost 2 years, while this is not a daily driver, I do take it on road trips regularly and enjoy the extra power when passing on 2 lane roads or when some "rich kid" in an AMG or an M trys to jump me at a lite...ya, I'm still a kid at heart.

Vortech pom poms here. Put the V3jt on with 1500 miles on the car and it now has 78k miles. Same blower.
Driven it from California to Tx and back. On the highway, even with E85, it gets 15+mpg. On the 91, it got 23 on the highway at 70mph.
All blowers have great street manners if you aren't a hero brhind the wheel.

Roush Phase 2SC since 2017 daily driven. My advice is make sure you want to drive the car long term because you won't get good return at sale. Secondly, just know that with higher power, you might spend substantially more than the cost of the power booster on other mods to support that power like stiffer suspension, wheels, tires, driveshaft, half shafts shifter ,brakes, aero, etc

I put on a Super Snake Whipple last year
Running stock Tomahawk tune
Keep your foot off and it drive just like normal
Punch it and you better have good rear tires
