Max cruise setting is 120mph. Now a speedo question for the fast guys.

why in Helen Kellers underware drawer would one WANT to engage CC at 120+?!?
When I had my car in Germany I wished I could have set cruise at 200-225kph (~125-140mph). That was about the limit at which I could “comfortably” cruise in the unrestricted zones on the autobahn. I’ve driven my car thousands of miles well above 120mph and most of that time was just cruising down the highway. Cruise control would have been great.

Side note…PCMTEC has a bunch of max cruise control speed settings. I haven’t had a chance to test if raising them beyond the factory settings makes a difference. Maybe someday I’ll get around to testing it.

Cruise control would have been great.
You were probably driving with ACC, which ends at 200 km/h (due to the range of the radar).
You can switch from ACC to normal cruise control before driving off, which should also work above 200 km/h (I haven't tried it yet).

You are correct I have ACC. My car is a US spec car, and when changing the units to metric for speed it limited my cruise set speed to 180kmh for some reason. With the units set to imperial I could set it as high as 120mph. I never tried switching to normal cruise control to see if that made a difference.

ACC must be limited because of the radar range and the low mounting point (can't see as far as our eyes).
For the EU spec S550, ACC is limited to a maximum of 200 km/h (125 mph), I know that for sure.
Apparently other limit values are stored in the control units?
I expect the hardware to be the same.

Have you only added metric as a second value to the display or have you completely reprogrammed it?

There is a setting on the cluster to change the units so I just set it to metric for speed while I was living there. There are many parameters inside the calibration file that define max cruise control settings, I just haven’t played with them.

Speedo just stops at 160, and with the normal non digital dash the display also stops at 160 (not sure on the digital). Ive done 196 but had to calculate it by tire size, transmission gear ratio, diff ratio and RPM. Thought I was over 200 it was still pulling. Aftermarket motor, whippled, aftermarket suspension, tires, tune etc though.

@Andy13186
Get the Bullitt's speedometer programmed with Forscan.
It ends at 300 km/h (180 mph)

Depening on model year, IPC needs a firmware update to do this (I guess 2018 will need update).

USDM Bullitt looks like this:
