I am planning to buy a set of apex wheels. For you track gurus what size do you recommend? I am hearing a 305 square set up is best as car has a tendency to Push?

Far from a track guru, but I use a 305 square setup on Apex wheels at the track, and have had no issues with it. Works great, and am able to rotate the tires when necessary. I believe they now have a new line that is better for heavier cars than what was available when I purchased mine.

I have two sets of 19x11.5 VS5-RS, and usually have 315 or 325 on the car. You will need camber for those size tires. If you go to a Nankang CRS V2, those don't have the curb protector, so they tuck a bit better.

I found a cracked wheel, and Apex has already replaced it. No idea when it happened, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a 3rd set of VS5-RS. That said, they make a VS5-RE that is for heavier cars and turning more laps.

That said. Apex just ended their tax day sale. They will likely have another sale for Memorial Day, 4th of July, and always have a great sale around Black Friday. You can save $400 or so, plus free shipping, if you wait until those days.

I have a set of Apex wheels, flow formed, and honestly, I would get the forged ones. The set I have is only used for track days and after 4.5 years one of my rims is out of round. From what I hear, Apex has great warranty and replacement programs, but If you can afford it, go with forged if you plan to do hard track driving.

I run Apex 11" square with both 305 and 315, 1" spacer up front. The 11" rim dictates that the 315 tire clears the strut same as the 305 tire. 11.5" wide would need an even fatter spacer.

Also heads up I got an email from Apex that they are releasing 2 new wheel designs on May 5. Not sure if they will be in the Mustang/Shelby fitment but thought I’d throw it out there if you want to wait and see what they release

Apex SM-10 19x11.5" ET56 Wheels - 5x114.3mm / 70.5mm
These flow formed Apex wheels are one of the few models they offer in 11.5" width and I run a square set-up with 315 Pilot Sport 4S tires. I'm using a pair of Optimum Performance 35mm spacers in front and there no clearance issues or poke concerns on a street alignment on my Mach 1 (with the HP front fender lips.)

THANKS FOR THE INPUT. WHY DO YOU NOT RUN A SPACER IN THE REAR? IS THERE A REASONE?

All four rims have 52mm offset. This puts the rear close to flush without a spacer. 25mm spacer is required in the front so that the tire clears the strut by about 5mm.

Apex does sell 11” wheels with the proper front offsets (+26) that wouldn’t require spacers. As an FYI
