Well guys, just ordered my tune from Bama. Tomorrow I am going to get a base line dyno to see how much it is putting down on the wheels before I do the upgrade. Currently, the only mod I have is the Ford Racing Touring cat back exhaust. We'll see what she puts down. :headbang:

Nice. curious to see the results. what octane are you running ?

I'm tempted to get a BAMA tune until I save enough for a roush supercharger kit but we only have 91 octane here in california and I'm wondering if BAMA tunes are offered for 91 too.

Right I am running 87 octane but will be switching to 93 on my next tank. Tomorrow's dyno will be on 87. Once I finish with the dyno, I will post the numbers.

My understanding is the pcm is going to retard your timings because you weren't using 91/93 and it will take a few tanks worth of 91/93 for the computer to release those limitations. It's apparently only in the range of 1-3% power loss on the stock v8 motor but I think it will still end up skewing the results a bit. It's like a 10% loss on the Ecoboost apparently.

Anyway I could be wrong because I can't remember the exact post that mentioned it now but I thought I would say something about it at least.

Hopefully they keep the knock sensors turned on. I've seen at least one 15 tune from them with them turned off. A bad tank of gas with it turned off could lead to a bad and costly day. Is your tune for 87, 91 or 93?

I'm surprised so many people want to live on the edge with tunes already. SCT doesn't even have all the tuning options figured out for tuners. Sure some tuners are putting out safe tunes but they're doing so with a limited feature set.

Draco - Please keep us updated. My FR (Borla) touring cats should be coming in any day now and I'm very much interested in going with the Bama tune once the cats are on.

Thanks.

My tune will be for 91. I was advised by Bama that once i do the tune, if I am using 91 octane gas, I cant go any lower on the octane rating. I can always go higher (93).

You have to remember, if you start out with our lund custom tuning, if you upgrade to a power adder down the road, your going to get a discount on the remote tune as well.

We custom tune each vehicle for you. Lund holds more records with mustang's than any other tuning company. terminators, gt500's, coyotes, quarter mile and mile.

How is his customer service? That seemed to turn a few people away in the past. How many people on his team?

Lund has 3 in house tuners and an office manager.

In addition with a vendor like myself, you get my customer service from 8am to 10pm seven days a week!

Win win!
