@BmacIL has a write up how to best adjust the tips to get them lined up. Will see if I can find it.

Clamp position does not have enough tension to keep the pipe from rotating inside the slip fit. Take a rubber mallet and tap it into a tight fit deep inside the slip joint when you have them oriented correctly
So the muffler is not seated far enough on the xpipe and this is resulting in the rotation that i am getting? Not sure how much play i have there, those hangers at the back of muffler dont allow much travel once they are seated

My exhaust did the same thing. You should be into what they call the mid pipe. It needs to be pushed into that middle section far enough so that it does not rotate like a compression fit. You just have to find a place to tap that doesn't damage anything.
I
had to realign the mid and the axleback portion of the exhaust and tap the L on the axleback which goes into the hanger because I have basically no muffler and carbon tips. It slid into the joint about 1/2" and became VERY difficult to twist anymore or pull out.

Turns out a second set of hands (and a lift) made getting fitment perfect much easier lol

It's important to work from front to back and support the double helix X with a jack while you tighten the forward most clamps. Then, with the 6 hanger bolts only finger tight, push the mufflers up as high as they'll go, even touching the valence. Tighten the clamps and subframe hanger bolts while they're still pushed up. When you release them, they'll fall into perfect spot. If they are off L to R in the valence, you may have to slide the axleback in or out of the X pipe, as this controls fore/aft and L/R of the muffler.
