Must be my synchros then. I recently put Redline DCTF in my 15’ MT82 and I get some grinding at high RPM’s and shifting fast. It is great at normal shifting, even in cool weather. I had to put my BG Syncro Shift II back in. Will try the Calimer method one of these days.

I've done a few 7K+ shifts with no problems but only 1-2, 2-3-and 3-4.............THAT'S FAST ENOUGH for me!!

I just caught a deal on some BG Syncro Shift II - it should be here today. Hopefully I have time this weekend to give it a try. I'm running the factory fill on my '19 GT with 16K.

@WildHorse, is this Calimer Cocktail recommended before, during and after happy hour? Haha! Seriously though, if this has been proven to be better than the factory fill, then maybe I need to do a swap before I put my car on the drag strip.

RXT clutches breaking MT's is pretty well documented. It's REALLY hard on the trans

I don't think there are enough people running the other brands of clutches to say one breaks more than another. I can only find a few people with 18+ mt82 that run a mantic or centerforce clutch. And the few I found with mantic are mostly problems related to not being able to shift. I know because I bought the cerametalic mantic and had nothing but trouble shifting. Installer stock and its fine. Mcleod is an affordable and reliable option therfore more people buy therfore more people blame the clutch for breaking the tranny when they are revving to 7000rpm then dumping the cluch with drag radials

The most likely scenario. Then they blame the MT82 because they have zero clue. The MT82 is used in a lot of vehicles, not just Fords. You never hear of them breaking.

I sure hope mine holds up. I’m gonna try and be as nice as I possibly can to it when I start running the car hard. I don’t want to be one of those people having the conversations in the above two songs with my tranny. LMAO
