It looks great. See you Saturday
Since I'm not much of competition (to gauge how you're doing), you can always run in Pro class (in NNJR)

You could be all ghetto and use painpainter's tape to cross out the STP and make ESP letters ;)

Hope you get a class. The car looks good!

Did you get your shocks in yet? I'm curious too how much a difference you get as I'm on rates that should be similar to what you had been on.

I wish.....should be soon.

They are redesigning the shocks and the camber plates. Plus they are valving the way I asked them to.

Plus on top of it,...my BMR front bar was hitting my crank pulley.

We figured out, someone grabbed a 05-10 mustang bar instead of the 15-16.

So that bar was about the same or softer rate as my PP bar.

The correct bar will be here tomorrow.

If I would decide to do esp instead......... It would have to be before may 6th.

I see you visiting ESP land since early STP numbers seem to be really lacking. I am amazed people are still flocking to CAM but are not migrating to STP when many of the cars overlap.

doesn't surprise me - unless you have an S197 5.0, STP is a bit of a waste if you want to win. not including the boss was a bit of a misstep IMO too; i know a few nationally competitive ESP boss guys that would have dropped down if it had been allowed. IRS and 3500lbs+ on 10/285s tipped my hand to go full-tilt ESP, and CAM is attractive for most non-srsbsns competitors because there are no real constraints. CAM is also attractive for people like me when ESP doesn't make a class - in absence of "real" builds, an ESP car on street tires doesn't suck. and i'm speaking from personal experience :)

I wrote a letter in support of wider tires/wheels for IRS guys in STP but look what it got you. I generally like ST rules sets and kinda get where they were coming from but felt it set people up to have to buy two sets of wheels.

yep, i wrote a few letters myself; to no avail, of course.

ah well, i've accepted it and moved on. and to be completely honest, with the non-STP compliant mods i've since done, i have no regrets! never thought i'd say 430whp isn't enough power... but with 18x12/335 grip, that extra bump i felt i needed to make over last season's power with E85/IM/TB/injectors matches up perfectly!

ok, enough of me mucking up the STP thread :)

I think one of the big things that is moving people to CAM is power adders. Locally, all the CAM guys are there because they went FI out of the gate.

The other big problem is that the STP PAX is only .002 better (for now) than CAM.
I am pretty sure that the just the unlimited wheel / tire sizes in CAM easily close that gap and then some. At this point, STP is a pretty hard sell.

I think the problem for STP at Pros n Tours is going to be the lack of contingency. He'll, if IRS cars are at such a disadvantage because of the wheel size and old SRA cars are done in FS then where are they? They ought to clean up in STP, right?

they're in ESP and CAM :p
but seriously, if i still had my '13 GT, i'd already be fully STP-prepped. definitely a no-brainer IMO, if you want to run street tires. unfortunately, unlike STR in it's first few years, there doesn't seem to be as many national-type people eager to prep as there were with S2Ks and miatas... no doubt honda/mazda contingency money plays a large part too - still surprises me that ford doesn't have some sort of grassroots program, given their apparent desire to focus on a similar (young) demographic.

There are a lot of us with an eye towards STP. I think the perceived rules instability (wheel widths for example) have some waiting for things to shake out a bit.
