I'm sure a sway bar could be modified to work if one were so inclined.

Pretty weak that you can't run a front sway bar. Not all of us have full on drag cars, lol. Is this typical for crank supports? Do the VMP and Whipple ones require removal of the sway bar?

No front sway bar makes a car a full on drag car?

Sway bar is very important when left or right suspension is loaded whilst cornering. Suppose he means in a drag car it’s irrelevant. Unless your crashing you’re only going straight on the drag strip. Well that’s the goal .

The s550 actually drives and feels absolutely normal with the front sway bar removed. I drove a friends 19 that was removed, I was quite shocked. My old fox body drove like a POS with the front sway out.

Wrote that before I read the rest of this thread, deleted it thereafter.
My comment saying 80foxcoupe is very negative still stands however.

I don't mean to be honestly. Explaining how a sway bar works just struck me as funny. So I simply replied with LOL. My point was removing a front sway bar hardly makes a car a "race car". My short answers are typically because of a time constraint.

Fair enough. I see your point now.

I honestly assumed removing the sway bar would have made the car undesirable to drive on the street. From others experience I see that assumption is wrong. I guess that’s good news for the BMR k-member I was thinking about installing.

Under normal driving, I cannot tell a difference with bar removed. Obviously for those that are into turning, removing the sway bar is far from ideal.

Obviously not. However MFP approached procharger at PRI last year about making a crank support for the coyote platform. And what they came out with looks pretty darn similar to the MFP design. This information was provided by Alex Flores on his "Talking Shit" youtube channel.

This is talked about starting at around 12:30 into the video. I know he has a love it or hate personality but what he does well is stating the facts and providing good information about tuning and mods and stuff.
While Alex does provide some decent information he tends to spout off half-cocked and half-informed on some issues. He obviously has some personal issues with somebody at Procharger and carries that into his advice. Same as his personal issue with Kelly Aiken turning people away from BMR, not an actual issue with the product itself. Alex is far from professional and lets a lot of his personal feelings and emotions cloud his suggestions. Take Alex as about 70% entertainment and 30% fact. Because his opinions change based on who employs him. As Solar Flare said " MFP did not invent anything. Procharger and other companies have had crank supports for SBC and SBF for about 20 years."

I agree alex can definitely be biased against certain brands like procharger and BMR. I just hope the MFP version of the crank support allows you to keep the front sway bar. Probly doesnt matter though because after i get my car dynoed and run a 9 in the quarter, gonna sell the procharger and get a real blower like the gen 3R. Less likely to snap the crank and instant torque. Plus having a circle d converter its loose AF until you go WOT.
