Rust is forming and this has been on the car 1 week… photo shows top with rust starting, bottom is worse… should I expect this to rust? Guess it’s mild steel… would have thought this should be stainless…

This is typical. This will continue to rust as mine did. I polished it as well as i could and applied a coating of paste wax and that seemed to assist with future rusting.

thanks for the response.. at least I know its normal... had I realized prior to install I would have clear coated it...

Little red scotch brite and it comes right off.

We have contemplated changing it, but...

When it was being designed we reach out to racers for some feedback, and the number 1 thing they said... was cost-effective as possible/durable. AKA: no coatings, no stainless

Not saying it couldn't be changed, but so far everyone has understood.

Those who wanted to lightly coat the outside have done so with some spray paint / brushed-on stuff.

I’m changing belt in a couple days…. I’ll hit it with scotch brite and clear coat it…

I’d like to have spare bearing on hand… is it available from Procharger or commonly available elsewhere?

Its a normal bearing the part number is 6010
