Procharger belt question

Take some rope and run it around the pulleys like the belt. Have someone hold the tensioner then mark the rope. Take the rope out lay it straight and measure it

That really makes me think this belt is too short then if you have smaller pulleys and your belt is longer than the one supplied. Sounds like it’s not even a little too short it’s way too short for oem components just going off that comparison. I’ll try to the rope trick just out of curiosity

For what it’s worth…ProCharger sent me a belt too big, and I was having a devil of a time keeping it on the pullies.

I would do this and see if it matches what Procharger tells you. Make sure you pull the string tight and you use the same "rib channel" on all drive pulleys to get the absolute correct measurement.

sorry yall I’ve been at work all day and was waiting for my buddy to be available. Sunday was busy so we called it a day in the early afternoon.

I Called procharger and after talking to a customer service rep, tech, and finally an engineer they told me the belt supplied was right for the 3.60 pulley and stock everything else.

However they also gave me the part number for one size up which is typically for the 3.80 pulley but said some customers have had better luck with that on the 3.60 (little confused on why they’d recommend two belts for the EXACT same pulleys/balancer setup but all good!).

he’s picking up that belt on his way (gates 060888) home to try and we also will measure as yall recommended just to compare results if that belt doesn’t fit.

give me a few hours and I’ll have an update this evening!

Understood, and that’s SUPPOSED to be the beauty of their additional tensioner…because it has more range, to allow more pulley sizes without belt swapping

Unfortunately that’s the problem with this setup, no additional tensioner relys solely on the Oem tensioner. I’m actually surprised how “simple” this setup is compared to other kits without multiple idlers and/or tensioners added.

Well I think (fingers crossed) he is in business. He picked up the one size bigger belt per procharger and left it hanging in the sun the last hour to maybe help get some extra stretch from 100 degree heat. It was tight to get on but it was doable, and then the factory tensioner put quite a bit of tension on it. Seems like we are good, just waiting on his tune to fire it up hopefully tomorrow, and then we will know for sure! I’ll keep everyone updated!
