Just wondering how many of this gen owners had a Mustang back in the day? The 64.5-73 models? A good friend in HS had a '68 coupe, 200 six with 3 speed. Pale green with black interior. Post up photos of both of your if you can?

I had a 65 fastback with the 271hp/289/4 speed. A lady in an Imperial went through a stop sign and totaled it. She clipped the rear, which spun the Mustang so it bounced off a number of objects before it stopped. Tons of body damage, even caved in the roof, but the running gear and lots of other stuff was not touched. So, I bought the car back and used the running gear and interior in a 29 Model A 2 door.

It worked out great. Everything fit the Model A body really well. It was a fun car to drive and a great sleeper. The only downside was the Model A front suspension and steering left something to be desired. This was the late 60s, so you did everything yourself.

Ha no it's Dark Matter Gray and I remind him often that he dropped the ball on that selection.

64.5 #1229 off the line. 289 auto with erson cam. Had a lot of fun in that car.
Edit. Sorry ran out of time earlier, I've also had a 67 notchback 6 cyl 3 spd and a (uhhumm) 74 mustang 2. But really like the 19gt that I traded to my wife to get a ranger. At least I still get to drive it and do the maintenence on it.

My prior pony was a 2016 gt convertible in Guard Green. Loved the car but hated the color. Owned it for 8 years and everything about the car was perfect except the color over time. Was fine with it the first year or two but then really disliked the color haha I thought it was boring but I could not justify getting rid of it only because of the color. Ended up selling it to a retired couple that liked the color and replace it with a different 2016 gt/cs convertible in Competition Orange. 🧡 It fits my playful and vibrant personality better. Other than two 2016 mustangs I’ve never had any other mustang. Might be interested in getting a late 60s classic or an s197 boss 302 some day.

Love seeing these photos of everyone’s mustangs!

Unfortunately I don't have any photos left of my old Mustang. None were digitial, as you can guess. 🙂

But the photo below shows a 1970 Mustang like I had, including the same color and options shown. I did have the 3-spoke spinner hub caps however, which was a rarity. They were a little bit of a pain however when needing to replace tires.

My mom had a 65 convertible with a 289 4BBL and a 4 speed in turquois blue, of course no pics. My first was an 89 fox body GT in two-tone, white with the grey lower and a blue stripe and a 5 speed. Bought it new when I was 22, was stolen while I was living in Pheonix on May 13, 91 never to be seen again. I had pics of my fox body, but they have been lost over the years.

Second Mustang for me, first one was also an S550. Loved the Foxes in high school and even the early SN95’s but never pulled the trigger on one. Contemplated an S197 B302LS for a bit in 2022 but prices were still crazy. Got my eyes on a GT500 now although my son thinks i should get a C7 Vette and mix it up a bit 🤷🏻‍♂️

Here’s my first S550, love me some Triple Yellow
