65 fastback, bought it new, March of 65. Only picture I ever took shortly after purchase. Originally 225hp four speed, four barrel carb. After about a year, put in a balanced 271 HP short block, forged pistons, ported heads, larger intake valves, screw in rocker studs, 100F Crower solid lifter cam, hooker headers, Steel lakewood bell housing, aluminum flywheel, HP clutch, Hurst shifter, aluminum high rise intake, Holly carb, switched in a 9 inch rear with 4.88 gear set, traction bars.
Then I went looking for Chevys and Mopars. Never did find one on the street that I couldn’t beat in 1/4 mile.

Just wondering how many of this gen owners had a Mustang back in the day? The 64.5-73 models? A good friend in HS had a '68 coupe, 200 six with 3 speed. Pale green with black interior. Post up photos of both of your if you can?
I kept my 2008 GT when I bought new 2024 GT. I'm not ready to part with it, yet. It's in great condition and also drives great!

Wow, memories of "back in the day"....I, like RazzaRossa had a '67 GT 390 4sp but it was silver and cammed, carbed and headers, oh and did I mention also grenaded which led to the '70 mach1 pictured below, 428 Super CJ Drag Pack Automatic.

Then one day I discovered Corvettes....a bit slack on power but did stop and go around corners real good, now some years and 8 Corvettes later I'm back in a Mustang again

'70 fastback 302 in Medium Lime Metallic which my dad converted to 4 speed with a '68 Toploader. When my parents came home with that thing in 1973 it ignited my love for the Mustang. My 2nd one was a '98 coupe which was some sort of dealer Special Edition package complete with monogrammed floor mats and badge and stripes and a leather interior. Gutless V6. Good on gas though. I will only buy another Mustang should my current modded Ecoboost be destroyed/stolen for right now because this one's a keeper.

I'm on my 5th mustang. Started with a '67 GTA, then a '69 Mach 1 Cobra Jet, then a '01 Gt, then now a '66 Coupe and a 2017 GT. Of course I've had a couple of GTO's ('66 and '68), a couple of Trans Am's ('84 and '96), a couple of Corvettes ('99 and '09), a Camaro ('68), a Bmw Z4 ('11), a 280Z ('76) and a 380Z ('18). I guess I'm somewhat a car type of guy.

The first mustang was a 67 coupe which I still have 28 years later. I had 2 other 67 coupes, one a lime gold restored car that still had cali smog parts on it and another one that was too rusty and ended up donating it’s top loader to my first 67 and the engine to my wife’s car. My wife brought a 1980 notch to the relationship which I then built a 1979 Mercury Capri for her. It got the 302 from the 67, a T5 and 3:73 gears. It ended up being a 12 second car somehow. Then I got a bright Atlantic blue 2000 V6 mustang. Next up was the 2006 GT, clean one owner car that I wrapped and drove for a couple years until I found my 2015 GT with only 5k miles, currently at just under 8k. I’ll post the few pics I can find.
