Had a 1965 GT 350 convertible. Lots of maintenance, so I sold it early last year. Other models were a '69 coupe (brought brand new) and a '72 Grande coupe.
That's a good question. I've always just washed the top like the rest of my car body with good quality car wash product. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I sure would like to know too.
Yep, that's pretty much normal. Was addressed in an earlier post. As time goes on, I think mine is getting to be a little less effort to latch back down. Probably the roof material is stretching out some. (?)
I have somewhat of the same problem. Takes quite a little effort to get it sealed back down. I didn't think it was anything out of spec, so I just deal with it.
I agree. In some states, that is not allowed, (i.e. against the law) as it implies forced advertising. Much like those license plate frames they "give you" .
Mine was a custom order too and did not have the covers. Could not find any of these through any Ford dealers on line, even with the Ford part numbers. Found them on eBay.
