A friend is buying a Mach 1. For those that know the market, I am asking for a little advice. There is a '22 Mach 1 for sale, used wit a few thousand miles, FJG, with the options attached in the screenshot attached.

If you were going to be the second owner, what would you pay?

There is a (sort of) comp also attached.

What do you think?

Overpriced
The question is what is it worth? If you have a Mach 1, I am asking for your opinion. If you don't own 1, I will ask that people refrain from this thread.

Thank you.

@Tomster, I'm in a similar boat as you and looking for a Mach 1 as well. The best I've seen for a build similar to yours is from 53k-55k for a 2022. Your window sticker doesn't show an elite package? Does it have the upgrades speakers? Carmax has a few Mach1 worth checking out as well

I am sure everyone knows many new 23's are collecting dust on dealer lots. A quick search shows around 500 cars nation wide. From what I see more supply than demand. I feel all the used ones are over priced today. Every last one.

The window sticker and comments reference a Fighter Jet Grey Handling Pack car with a few thousand miles.

The Internet screenshot and Suntrup ad lists an Iconic Silver, non-HP car, 843 miles, $56,988. * See pricing for non-HP cars at bottom.

Will they be posting the FJG, HP car and price at the Suntrup Ford web site? The car is not currently listed.

I'm not shopping around, but I did go out to AutoTrader and troll.

2022 Mach 1, new: 152 for sale (HP and non-HP), nationwide
$, High: $73,230
$, Low: $58,900. The lowest-priced HP car listed.

2022 Mach 1, used: 110 for sale (HP and non-HP), nationwide
$, High: 70,991
$, Low, 57,990. The 2nd lowest-priced HP car listed. (1,394 mi / 2243 km).
$, Low: 53,494. The lowest-priced HP car listed. (11,000+ mi / 17700 km).

^ I did not study any of these cars in detail for each of their specific options, other than if they were 2022 and had the HP.

One thing I did notice which might be used in negotiations: color. FJG was very popular. There are a lot of FJGs for sale. Maybe the buyer could explain they're looking for a FJG and there are plenty to choose from.

*2nd lowest 2022 non-HP Mach 1, NEW: $53,690.
*Lowest 2022 non-HP Mach 1, NEW: $49,995.

*Lowest 2022 non-HP Mach 1, used: $52,700. (1,100 mi / 1,770 km).

Tough call. When the GT350 stopped production there was a similar scenario to the present which ultimately resulted in each finding long term homes and prices rise. I believe the economics are different now. I do think everything will be devalued in the near term and for those who have no issue buying either used or new for a non essential vehicle the prices will get better.

I follow the market a bit to see where my car sits in the marketplace. If I were to buy a no issue used 22 mach1 now, with the info supplied, it would be a fair price of $60K. No more than that.

$55K. I know many people only paid invoice or 3-4% less.
From there it is my guess that the prices will continue to fall off a little.

another thought here, I wouldn't want to try and negotiate on a car that someone paid an ADM on either. Got to hit on a car that someone bought right and just want s to get out.
Unfortunately you have no way of knowing without testing some offers.

If anyone wants a 2022 FJG manual non-HP Mach with ~600 miles on it in better than new shape hit me up and I’ll put you on it. It’s loaded and listed for ~63K. I was forced to trade for an A10 and the dealer jumped in to this car a little deep IMO. At first they were trying to get the cheese but I think now they just want out of the trap and would likely listen to reason.

It‘s in NE GA.

If I were buying a similarly packaged M1 as the sticker shown, I would be targeting a fair price of $57K-$60K with the Elite package. If it doesn't have an Elite Package, than probably around $55K.

It really is the perfect time to buy a Mach 1 HP right now if you have cash on hand (or good financing). The artificial inflation, interest rates, etc., and the S650 have put the M1 in a unique position. But as the new car smell of the S650 wears out and the Mustang crowd gets a reality check with the locked ECUs, and the GT350 warranties come to an end, the M1s may become much more desirable. I'm keeping mine for life, but I'll be watching how everything unfolds. 🍿

Seems alright to me. You have to get to St. Louis from Florida? Your going to have additional time and cost in that. Where I live, there are very few cars on the lots and I don't have time to trek 600 miles to get a car. I realize that I pay more most of the time compared to when I lived in Houston and Los Angeles.

It also depends on how you earn your salary. I'm a small business owner.. Time is money for me. It's better for me to get what I need and back to work, than spend hours/days saving a few $1000... but for people on a salary.. it's a very different story.

I'd look at the tires and see how hard those miles were on the vehicle. If they look brand new, I'd probably go for it.

Thanks everyone. My friend lucked out and found a used '22 Mach 1 with elite, appearance, and handling packages for $58.5K out the door. I believe it has about 1500 miles on it.

Outstanding deal for that Mach 1. Hope they get to enjoy the car in good health.
